Did not notice we were 5 handed. I'd go JJ+,AKo now i reckon.

His range can include TT+/AQs+ for value (though without any aggro dynamic he can flat the bottom of this range comfortably given stack depth so prob not all the combos of TT,JJ,and quite few of AQ) and with your range being wider than i thought he can have a few more combos of KQ/KJ/AT type hands with blockers that play ok post that he's planning to fold to a ship.

JJ is a tank call

TT is really uncomfortable

AK call AQ fold

its worth pointing out I wouldnt be in that position as my mind would be made up before raising and I think I would have reasonable reads on villain (either way)

If he 4b folds TT he needs to sort something out. Not a good hand to 4b/fold Ax/KQ better. I think we can jam TT+ AK, AQs~ 50%.

Imo he can be 4b bluffing here, not sure how likely it is. Def seen it online a fair bit, if he has sounded kinda spewy- like you made it sound, it has to be a factor.

He's not going to be flatting AK at any point 5 handed...He either has a huge value hand or a bluff so Just go with your read. I wouldn't be folding Jacks here too often though if you think he's capable of ever being light then you need to widen your 5bet shoving range.

At the risk of sounding like a massive live fish, I think it really important to be paying very close attention to your opponent in a situation like this. I'll try explain the best I can. Live players give off so much info its pretty hilarious actually, so i'd be paying attention to stuff like how quickly he 4bets and how happy he looks about it. If he snap 4bets without thinking about it then I would usually exclude certain hands out of their range for example: not many live players near the bubble of a FT are going to be snap fist pump cold 4bet 1010 too often I don't think. They some times even turn their hand face up by tanking and counting out the call then changing their mind etc.

So yeah, I know it sounds really fishy and old school to use this kind of thinking, I use to think it was stupid aswel until Deadman showed me the way. Its so much easier to narrow down peoples ranges based on reactions and timing. I would also be 5bet jamming a pretty tight range here too with no history. Same as deadman probs, hes always right.

Have discussed this at length with Jason, and it is a bit 50p-ish...

its just a massive equity flip, ask goulder about those. Smiley
