1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.

1. Bet Flop/Bet Turn/Check River/Fold now
2. Bet Flop/Bet Turn/no idea - disagree that this is the same as JJ here although agree there's not a huge amount in it
3. Check River/Fold
4. Raise or call, think it's close and call is slightly better
5. Bet Flop/dont bet river/Fold
6. Dont bet river/fold

I really hope you didn't have 55, 99 or JJ as that's a really bad river bet (JJ way less so in fact that might even be ok) the only two hands you should bet the river with are AK and A7 and you should 100% have bet the flop (or the turn at the VERY least) with AK

Yes I totally butchered this hand.

I had  , option 1. I am glad I found a fold on the end, though I am pretty sure I was being bluffed, as he showed the  .

reasons for not cbetting?

Sounds weak I know, but I was thrown by his fake fold thing, and by flopping half a hand, I just thought, "get to showdown cheaply and get out of here"

With that in mind, I should just check call the river.

In hindsight, knowing I definitely didn't want to play a big pot oop with a marginal hand against a lunatic (apologies Ronaldo), I should have:

1. folded pre, gone on the break and had a stiff drink/got my answers in for Ed's quiz
2. barreled the flop and then shut down when he calls, which I think he would
3. check called a reasonable bet on the river

Hoping to play better in the 150k on saturday  Roll Eyes

1. Call
2. Call
3. Fold
4. Call
5. Call
6. Fold

I think decent one pair hands will just win this too often, and I don't want to mess around with a silly decision if we raise 4 and get shoved on.

Call and win a lot imo.

Villain showing only a 6 means he had like 6-7.

betting the turn is better than better the river, imo. I'd bet the flop but agree with AL checking seems fine (and it seems vs this player even moreso?) but defo wouldnt check turn and wouldn't bet the river I dont think either as he CAN have 7x and weak Kx and QJ, and the only hands we can V-Town now are worse Qx (not many) 88/99/TT/JJ most of which I think he'd 3bet preflop or maybe a ridic stubborn A high but if he's got bluffs in him then on this texture I think c/call is the better play.
