I just do not know if it is value really.
It's a lot of money for the sat for the prize.
50 seats is good, but sats elsewhere aren't usually about 3.5 x sat buyin. Although you can play it as 30 FO or just with addin, if I play I won't be in for full 90.
However mr sausage, you could have said it in a much nicer way!
just roffle! I think what you and Mr S mean, is that you dont want to pay £90 - then dont!
As for it being value - I actually railed it last night as a bit of homework and I can guarantee (although this is largely irrelevant) it is softer than the Genting sats.
Finally -
VALUE
- I dont know the numbers - im sure dtd will confirm - but they are probably going to overlay circa 60 seats this week! If you and Mr S had any idea of value - you would know which sat to play!
(as an aside I am not knocking Genting - i really like their tour and satts - but the comments made are again.............................r (im not even going to say it!)
DTD have made an amazing promotional offer this week - the likes of which I cant remember in terms of guaranteed satty seats - in full knowledge they will have huge overlays!

It is your opinion it is value, guy.
I'm not sure.
It's a harsh buyin for a satellite, but I suppose that's why they guarantee the amount of seats.

you're just wrong. value it IS.
expensive relative to buyin maybe, but it is still providing incredible value.
with some of the play I saw yesterday I can see how even herbie wins a seat so regularly, I had to check I wasn't on the play money tables throughout.

I'd probably agree with you about the play if I could just make the add on.

wow at some of the posts in this thread!
I would just like to say I think the 1r1a format is great - plz keep it this way. 25% of the field is gone before the add on!
a happy medium between a straight up rebuy and a freezeout

You can always satellite into the mega sat via the £2 feeders as well.

Getting bored of your constant levelling/trolling
How can it not be value when DTD are literally giving away free money.

Its true you could just spend £33 on a single buy in receive 5000 chips go on to build a stack and win a seat , although I think its fair to say to be + EV you need to take the add on ( 10000 chips for £30 ) so for most it would cost £63.
So 3 scenarios
1 1 buy in = £33
2 1 buy in and a top up £63
2 1 buy in and a re buy and a top up £93
Obviously the more runners the satelite gets then the more the "value" gets diluted but based on the number of players entered in previous nights it doesnt need a maths genius to work out thats this is great value for money especially if you can minimise your buy ins.
If astonishes me that people want to argue about the facts........ anyway keep up the good work DTD

Sure to have a chance at getting a seat you probably need to add or everyone around you suddenly jumps up their stack... Even then you are paying £63 to try and get in to a £330 tourney so you would have to fail five times to not get any value.
We are all entitled to an opinion - I got in and can now play a tourney I wouldn't normally be able to. Is it too simple to say "fair enough, don't play it then"

Aaron, value in these satellites is easily calculated. In simple terms, DTD are offering a guaranteed £16,800 prize pool this week and there has been an overlay every night so far.
They're also offering cheap ways into the main satellite. I was in last night for £4.20 and had I managed to get my add-on (my fault not theirs) would have been confident of winning a seat for a spend of £34.20
Genting are offering a guaranteed £880 with zero overlay.

I have spent £93 3 times now and failed to get a seat
With donkeys like me in the field, I assure you, the value is there

Lets do some basic maths ...so based on 150 runners last night
50 seats guaranteed x £336 = £16,800
Lets assume everybody has a buy in and an add on = £63 x 150 = £9450
I know there are variables but feel its fair guesstimating so overlay =
£7350
x 4 nights = quite a lot
Great Value in my eyes but no doubt there will be "other view points"
