'I'll knock the golf on the head until after Vegas, and keep all my extra dough for the strippers cashgames'

Obviously Adz pulls an 800/1 double out of his ass last week, and Ralph whose picks I have been following longer than I've been eating too much KFC nips one himself this week!

Well done boys Smiley

Well done to Hector too who also picked English and commiserations to a very unlucky doubleup Dave who appeared all but home and dry with Stallings.

I feel that Ms.Shin's bogey at the 18th in her first round yesterday was a huge psychological blow and in my mind that cost her the title.

Well done the English supporters  Wink

Is it really 32 years since Merion last hosted the US Open? - not many forumites will remember the winner.  I actually watched it after playing Carnoustie (3 4* 5 finish btw).  Tikay and Karabiner wouldn't remember it as they would have still been in rehab from the 60s and 70s.

Anyway what are people thoughts on the weather?  It looks like wet on Thursday and drying out on Friday.  Given the normally fast greens will this favour late starters on Thursday - they will be early second round starters so should get the best scoring conditions on a shortish course.

hmmm read Phils post on tips for tikay -- seems that the wind a lot stronger than the forecast I looked at.

*ok I bounced over the bridge at the 17th

My darts for the US Open.

Scott- got to keep with him after I had him in the Masters

Schwartzel- always seems to be consistent

Mannasero- I think straight hitting good putters will be suited by this course

And 3G in the first round leader market

Schwartzel is my top pick this week @42, also on Harrington @160.

Kaymer @120, Cabrera @150, and Poults @140.

Small darts at Schwartzel and Harrington for 1st round leader and a few assorted 3-ball bets complete my bulging quiver.

GL everyone.

looking at the weather from

http://www.weather.com/weather/hourbyhour/graph/Ardmore+PA+USPA0051:1:US?pagenum=4&nextbeginIndex=42

it seems to me that early starters on thursday should have soft greens and the lowest winds.  The late starters might get a weather delay but the winds persist on friday when they either resume or start their rounds.

So I've gone entirely for early starters 1st round leader and winnner.

Mickleson Snedeker Schwartzel Hanson Boo Sergio 1st round leaders EW bets

Hunter Mahan Mickleson Snedeker Schwartzel Sergio EW for tornament.

They appear to have a selection of Nora Batty's hats on the pins instead of flags.
