Final figure was 322 players today
Overall prize pool £504,000
i reckon that might be a record for a £1000 event......probably wrong, I often am
Awesome effort from DTD to make the guarantee, but not even a record for this week! Berlin Cup got over 900 runners for an €1,100 (£942) event.

I think the key is that it has to be denominated in £. Obviously all the WSOP $1.5k get bazillions of runners.

Paul Foltyn has had the hour to end all hours and has gone from 40,000 to 160,000
In three stages
1 He is all in against a slightly shorter stack with A-Q v Q-J on Q-J-7. Hits an Aceon the river
2 Calls a raise, in the small blind with 10-10
A-7-4 flop check check
10 on the turn
Pab bets big, called
Q river, Pab bets big, called
3
Mo News is good Muse raises to 1900 in the cut off
Pab A-Q 5200 in the small blind
call
A-Q-8
Pab 6500, call
5
Pab 11000, Muse all in 40,000
call
Muse A-4 for the hari-kari....

A few hands from this table
11 1 Riccardo Scalzo
11 2 Matthew Lewis
11 3 Mohammed Ifzail
11 4 Lawrence Sanchez
11 5 Yiannis Liperis
11 7 Meli Vincent
11 8 Jeff Kimber
11 9 Tommy Bingham
A man at the table who mmay or may not like Jaffa Cakes had popped across and commented to me how impressed he was by the "kid in seat 9" I gave him a brief precis of the DTD History of Mr Bingham, minus the hats
Hand 1 400-800
Vincent limps
Bingham 2200
Sanchez calls
Vincent folds
check Sanchez, Bingham 1,000 call
check, Bingham 1300, call
check check
Bingham
which is good
Hand 2
Bingham 2200 UTG, all fold
Hand 3 Matt Lewis 1600, Sanchez calls
Vincent 4500 o-t-b
all fold
Hand 4 Ifzail 2100, Kimber calls otb
Check
Kimber 2600
fold
Kimber shows A-J
Hand 5
Bingham 2200 at 500-1000
all fold
Hand 6
"Is this a round with tighty?" asks Kimber
"could be" I reply
"I better get busy" says Kimber
min raises to 2,000
Ifzail calls
check check
check
Kimber 2,500
Ifzail folds
Kimber shows
...
At that point I decide not to humour him any further, and walk off. Show off!
