Not sure I know where to stand on this one. I expect the only changers will be regs and cheats, so it really does nothing to stop the bumhunting. I assume you average rec just isn't going to be aware of this. Betfair used to be terrible at spotting name changes*, but you could spot some of the cheats due to the location and play pretty quickly. Let's just say you weren't ever joining a 6 handed table with 3 people from a certain Eastern European country on it, even if you actually didn't recognise a single screen name. Well the very fact you didn't recognise any of the screen names gave it away anyway.
Maybe Winamax is going to be proactive, and try hard to encourage all their losing accounts about the ability to change?
Not sure I am going to change. I guess if everyone else does, I am going to have to, but I really don't like it much.
* well to be frank on Betfair, so many of the people on high rakeback deals changed their names in one brief period, that it was hard to conclude that Betfair weren't the ones who instigated it.
