I miss the real banter players would give back to the crowd when they got stick, seems a simple telling supporters the score or celebrating gets you in trouble now!

I remember a Donny Rovers player, Dino Marmeria (sp fo sure prob not right first name either) turning round and just giving the digit to the crowd once. Conference football <3

Having the crowd either change stands or just move from near the away penalty box at half time, following the action.

Goalmouth scrambles

Dead-ball specialist centre backs like Franck Sauzee and Ronald Koeman who took the penalties and all the free kicks bending them over walls at ridiculous angles.  Now every centre back taking a free kick just smashes it down the middle.

128 team combined English and scottish cup where I cut out all the teams, did a draw and played them all on subbuteo, putting the slips of paper into the scoreboard and then playing as the better team with your younger borther the worse team

Trying to glue players together after you trod on them by accident, leaning over the grandstand and knocking it by mistake. Trying to make a save with the goalie and moving him so hard that the goal flew onto the floor....

You can Keep your FIFA2014!

Oh my, i did the exact same thing!

4. A striker breaks clear and is one on one with the keeper. Nowadays the either shoot around or chip over the goalie. Much rarer to see the striker to round the keeper and try to slot the ball into an empty net. In the old days that was the most common imo.

Assume this is because the pitches are kept in much better condition now a days and therefore are faster...etc. Still not uncommon in the bogs of Sunday league football!

You really did have to work hard to manufacture the relation between those two didn't you Smiley You have decided the straightness of the Puncheon kick was a noteworthy thing about it? This just sounds like abuse to me. If you were looking to hurt me, you have Tongue

opposing fans clapping for a goal is long gone

I remember James Scowcroft scored an absolute belter at the Molineux for Palace and there were Wolves fans behind the goal standing and clapping not too long ago (well nearly 10 years now), we had the game already won, so that normally gives the oppo fans more leeway to clap the beauty of the goal. Here is a clip actually, you should be able to see the guys clapping their hands here.

It is 38 seconds in, but as its only a minute, you probably should watch the lot Smiley
