Why the 12/13 season and not the one just completed?

lol

good effort, well done

on Q5 and Q10 we are meant to choose an order of idiocy and attractiveness that no one else chooses then?

by doing so we'd then get the least points

so really you might as well just give us 4 numbers and ask us to put them in an order 1,2,3,4 or whatever

it doesn't matter what we think, which is what i think you would like to hear....

the subject you choose is irrelevant, isn't it?

this is why these type of questions aren't used in an RSQ

agreed q5 and 10 are largely random although there will be a degree of levelling one another. did say at the start mix of luck and skill. can change these or one of them at least if there are objections?

i don't think you should change any questions. we can enter, or not, play the hand we are dealt.

just giving some feedback as to the difficulties the questions pose within an RSQ

i always fancied Widdicombe anyway, now i have the perfect vehicle to admit it and get away with it.

i looked at some reverse sheep quizzes on other forums and they were almost all random like, 'pick a colour of the rainbow' :p but yeah in hindsight i'd take those out for next time.  there are enough combos that there should be a lot of aces anyway and it shouldnt affect things too much unless someone gets v unlucky. to add a twist for 5+ 10 if anyone gets theirs in the same order as my personal picks they get MINUS 1pt

You can't go about throwing in extra rule half way down page 1

Colour of the rainbow is almost a perfect RSQ question.  Everyone knows the answers, they then have to try and select the ones that others will least go for.   Also gives silly people the option to go for 'pink' because it's in the song Roll Eyes  The only problem with it is that there are only seven correct answers.

The question you ask about the women and placing them in order of attractiveness you say that Google is permitted. Why?  It makes absolutely no difference what they look like, as the question could just say rearrange these words into an order.  You don't need to know what they look like to do that.

Otherwise there are some good questions, a few dubious ones and then some nice vague ones that will cause you a headache - such as: "name one of the top ten most watched one-off events " - all sporting events are one-offs, that's the nature of sport.

A pocket pair that won the WSOP ME?  Not a clue.  The only winning hand I can remember is Doyle's T2.  So that leaves me with more than one question I can't answer - so for that reason - I'm oot.

The pocket pair question is atrocious, I agree. I'll obv still be entering. Especially since I have about a month to do so.

I don't mind this type of random question so much as although it boils down to pick a number from 1-16 the fact that people are being asked to order something means their personal preference does come into it.

Probably doesn't need two of them in the same quiz mind.

agree re the ordering people questions. one or none would have been plenty. don't see any problem with the pocket pairs  there are 13 possible answers and many of them are correct. zero knowledge required, but if u do know u have an edge. Guillermo del toro is an awesome director, u all will have seen more than one of his films unless yr one ofthem that only watches corrie

i don't think thats true, and not too polite to bracket anyone who doesn't know as just a soap watcher. As if that is a bad thing anyway

Del Toro may well be awesome but i would suggest a majority of people likely to enter wouldn't have a clue, or might not know a film was directed by him. there is one very famous example of this. i tested it on someone this afternoon!

we call this in the trade the "sharpleas". assuming a vast public knowledge of a sub-area of a quiz genre that is in fact very specialist

So, following questions about songs by Nirvana, Lake District fells, Russel universities and God knows what else, we have movies by a Director we've never heard of, along with three pure dice-rolls with Q 5, 9 & 10.

I wish Boshi or Tighty would write a guide to how to do an RSQ and sticky it at the top of The Lounge.

Not picking on willrobrobu in particular - it seems to be a widespread issue.
