So...today was (theoretically) day 1 of the package.

After arriving in London late due to a long day in Nottingham followed by delays to public transport, I decided that I was better off getting some good sleep before the £770 main event tomorrow at midday than turning up late, exhausted and frustrated to the £220 tonight.

I now have more freedom of movement next week, as work commitments have disappeared, which means no more travelling, and more flexibility to when I can play.

Will post an update at the end of each day.

First event: UKIPT main 1b (£770)

No good in this event unfortunately. Fairly tough table from the off, with one bad player, and two overly tight players, but the other 6 either good or very good.

Few hands of note really, this was very much a grind. One interesting spot where I 4-bet folded, but little happening other than that on a table where spots were difficult to find and the cards didn't flow for me.

In level 8 (300/600/75), playing 21k, raised to 2400 (after two limps) with  before being 3-bet to 4200 by the SB (Sin Melin, who had done this a few times OOP already and shown down dubious hands). I shoved my 21k and she tank-called with  - door card  and it was all over.

Next event: 2pm tomorrow - £220 turbo deepstack.

Frustrating day of poker, exiting both the £220 turbo and £330 London Cup in level 8.

Second event: £220 turbo

This was a really rapid structure (15 min levels) but pretty soft field. From 15k starting stack, got off to a decent start (up to 24k) before losing JJ vs KK for 10k and then picking the wrong moment for a semi-bluff:

300/600/75, playing 18k in mid position. One player limps in front of me and I open  to 1900 with just the limper calling. He is a young local casual player who doesn't seem good. He has me covered, but only just.

Flop    - he checks, I bet 2700 into 5400, he flats.

Turn  - he leads 4k, which I interpret as a fairly scared bet, with most likely hands being middle pocket pairs and weak queens. I shove for 14k, and he calls depressingly quickly, tabling  which holds.

Event 3: £330 London Cup 1b

Good start - getting up to 18k from 10k, with one particularly nice hand - getting lots of value with on    by 3-betting in position pre-flop and then getting 2 streets of value (flop and river) against  .

Then - table change - I get moved to a table with a hilariously bad middle aged french guy on it who limp-calls every hand. I lose 8k with  vs  on  Two Diamonds then get gradually blinded down to 6k before finding a spot to shove my 8bb with  and losing.

Next tournament - £330 deepstack at 2pm tomorrow. Determined to not bust in level 8 for the fourth tournament in succession.

45k, average 75k at the dinner break of the £330 deepstack.

40 left, 31 paid. 13k up top

Just lost a 50k pot vs  but still in the running, though now very crapshooty

Event 4: £330 deepstack

Out 24th for £610

Ran up to 130k before calling with 99 when the button shoved AA, then next orbit shoving 8 big blinds with K2 from SB into the BB's AT

Event 5: £330 PLO - finished 35/95 after re-shoving  into  two spades

Event 6: £330 turbo

Off to a really good start, spinning up to 45k from 10k. The hilarious hand came when I squeezed 13k all in from the SB with  over the top of a raise to 1200 and two callers. The first caller looks me up with  , and Ten-high is good enough to win the pot.

I then lose  vs  for 20k-ish after raising and getting 4 callers to an  three diamonds flop

Later, with 30k, 6-handed at 600/1200/200, I squeeze the button to 8k with  after a raise from UTG to 2600 with one caller. They both have me covered so my thinking is that I can pass to a 4-bet as I have not seen either of them get out of line prior to this. The big blind (22k) finds  and I can't pass for his last 14k.

The remaining chips go in 2 hands later UTG with  Two Clubs, losing to

All in all, it has been frustrating so far, with the figures reading:

Tournaments - 6
Buy-ins - £770, £220, £330, £330, £330, £330 = £2310
Cashes - £610

Glad to be having a day off tomorrow to recharge. Then back into the fray on tuesday.

Nice run, UL.... keep up the good work Smiley

Are you planning on playing the EPT sat?

Thanks buddy.

I'm not in the end, unfortunately. I'm busy during the afternoon on tuesday so can't play the main.

Event 7: £1100 hold'em

Very quick exit in this event, hardly winning a hand.

From a 10k start, had a couple of small bluffs at missed draws that were picked off, and generally seeped a few more chips, then squeezed all in with from the button - the original raiser had

In hindsight I wonder whether I should have played one or two hands differently - but no horrific errors. Just couldn't get anything going on a tough table and plan B failed.

Next event: £550 8-max on friday. Really want to turn this run around!

Two further events yesterday:

Event 8: £550 8-max

Good start, up to 20k from 10k after fluking an  through  for 8k. Then lost 9k with  vs  on    and re-shoved the rest from the SB with  into the buttons

Event 9: £330 PLO8

No good. 16th of 39.

So that's it in total. Pretty dire 10 days of poker - one min-cash from 9 events. I will update the numbers and be making some payments (about 20% of stake) tomorrow.

Sorry for the lack of return - thank you all for investing!
