If I didn't love going to work so much and housework, shopping, playing being a nurse I'd go but so much more fun to be had here in rainy dull and dismal Huddersfield.

Do they have an Alcatraz in Clacton?  Celebrating my 60th. When is yours Tom? Didn't recognise it from the Pic Kev. Have you done the tour? It's amazing. My 60th was last March. |

I did do the tour Tom. Just a building until you put the commentary on then it comes to life. Drove from SF to Vegas through Yosemeti, to say that was spectacular would be an understatement. Helicoptered the GC just wow. Then flew back to SF. Flying home soon.

We did a very similar trip to the Kev. We flew into Vegas and had a week then flew to San Francisco. Then we hired a a car and drove back to LC along the coast road taking in Yosemite on the way.
I love driving holidays in the US, especially the out of the way places. Small town America is fascinating and the people are so friendly. Complete strangers say "Yall come visit with us a while, have some vittles, sleep over..."
We didn't of course, we don't want to be murdered in our beds.

Great trip Tom. Isn't Yosemeti beautiful. We stopped over in Bishop on the drive to Vegas. Interesting locals esp one called Randy. :-) |
