Is there a worse way to get knocked out of a poker tournament than when your opponent has only two outs - and they are the two cards which give you a set?

He said on Twitter although he's in Vegas, he's only planning on playing about 4 events.

It counts as a substitution. Also, if you drop your captain, your new player becomes captain.
The good news is that everyone gets one free substitution.
The change would count from the next event, i.e. event #8 if you did it now.
