I actually couldn't care less who wins out of these three guys. Pretty sure that's the first year I've been so uninterested in the result.
Surely that shouldn't be happening? I mean I still enjoy playing poker and take an interest in the live MTT circuit. Also fairly sure if this live final table was shown in July at the end of the ME I would be WAY more interested.

Briefly from memory, they were the two biggest stacks. 100 bigs v 40 bigs.
Joe opens to 1.9
3 bet to 4,
4 bet to 10ish.
Fold.
Decent pay jumps to take into acct too.
I think it's fine.
i read he went over to his rail and said "he had queens" in his opinion
do we know what the 4 bettor had?
He did have queens.

Couldn't agree more. I hate the November Nine format. If I hadn't caught this thread I'd have been oblivious to the fact that it's happening at all, and the whole theatre setup for it tilts me beyond belief.

Same here - and I updated the entire thing in July, which was for me the best WSOP ever.
Just a pity that a lot of casual fans lose their interest between now and then. Sadly, though, money talks and ESPN/Caesars make a lot of it.

The QQ v JJ confrontation would have been really interesting if the hands had been held the other way round.
JM having the JJ.
Would Beckley have folded QQ in that spot?
Five bet shoved? If so, does McKeehen fold JJ there?

I really enjoyed it, thought it was kind of fascinating the difference between the way they all played.
Stern and Blumunfield really made it fantastic imo

I wouldn't normally try so hard, but didn't have another opportunity I could wait for. I wasn't ready to surrender what I WANTED SO MUCH, that easily, I couldn't guarantee a call with me staying stoic and relying on a flinch "top pair" calling reflex.

I enjoyed it the past 2 nights, but, had I not stumbled on it whilst flicking over, I would have missed it.
Not keen on the wait til November to be honest.

Turned it off after an hour on Sunday. Didn't turn it on again. I've generally seen a lot of the fts in previous years too. Think I watched all of Merson. People were fairly dull and the play was excruciatingly slow.

Echo the concern about slow play and the absence of any sort of banter.
Hope not too many of the local kidz watched it else we're going to see a huge increase in tanking, hard stares and the aggro dropping of chips onto the table when they finally make a bet.

It's a little unfair on the players to expect them to provide banter and quick decisions.
Let's live stream a local £50 donkament if u want that.
Lot of money on the line. Don't blame them from trying to remain focussed and win as much money as possible rather than entertain.
They can be mutually exclusive ofc dependant on line up. Which is why Negreanu was so missed from the final 9
