New High Hand Bonus £5,000 to be won every week!
Starting Sunday 11th of June DTD will be introducing a New High Hand Bonus for Cash Games.
Hollie spoke to Jon Kalmar to tell us more about it.
Hollie; Why the new Promotion?Jon; Well Dusk Till Dawn has always been the best in the country for tournament promotions. Well now it's gonna be the best for cash game promos too! We looked around at what other poker rooms do and realised we could do better. The obvious promotion would be a Badbeat Jackpot. These offer big prizes and DTD has done them in the past. The problem is they are just so hard to win, and when they do get won only a small amount of people win anything. I recently went to Playground in Canada and although they do a Badbeat promo themselves the promotion everyone gets excited about is the high hand bonus's and I thinks it's because someone wins every night.
So, what is it?Well, in simple terms whoever makes the best hand of the night wins!
£500 Monday to Thursday and £1,000 during the weekends. Players have to use both hole cards and the minimum requirement is a Full House. If no one makes a full house or better then the prize will roll over and be added to the following nights prize.
Does the hand need to go to showdown? No, the hand does not need to go to showdown, just turn it over so our floor staff can verify it. The floor will have to see it though. I know we always trust poker players when they tell us what hand they have had but on this occasion we can't just take your word for it.
The hand must be complete. You can still qualify if you flop it or make the hand by the turn but you can't go rabbit hunting with draws.
Is there a bonus for quads? Not anymore the nightly high hand replaces the current promotions. Obviously if you make quads you are gonna be looking good, but someone else could still win in.
Sometimes there is only one cash table, can a player still win.
There is no minimum amount of games however they must be at least four players dealt in to qualify. If there is only one game running I'd suggest you join, great chance you could win it!
The idea of these promotions is to attract lots of new players to the club and I hope that we always have multiple tables for players to choose from.
Do players need to wait till the end of the night to get paid? No, if you have leave the premises we will hold onto you winnings until you next visit the club.
Winners will be announced at the end of the night.
What stakes does a player need to play?Anything £1/1 or above can win. We recently did a promotion for the higher stakes games but it felt a little unfair the smaller guys couldn't win. Any game contributing towards the promotion will qualify. A minimum of four players must play before a contribution is taken. The VIP games won't be in the promotion, those guys don't need the money do they
What do you mean by contribution?£1 is collected from every pot above £20 on 1/1 games and £40 on 1/2 games and above, but this will not cover the all the prizes so Dusk Till Dawn will add the rest.
Can the Omaha Players win?No! Wouldn't be fair would it, it's a lot easier to make a big hand at PLO than in Hold'em. There is currently a Badbeat Jackpot for the omaha player (which is much easier to win than a hold'em one) and we are trying to think of a better promotion for these games too, watch this space!
A lot of people like the Party wheel, is that going to make a comeback? We have a few Ideas for Party Wheel promotions and no doubt you will see it again in the none too distant future.
