I didn't realise you could still get them Jon.

Can't get them near me.

Mind you we are surrounded like a wagon train by 4 Timpson shops who have set services shall we say. Luckily we have one independent who only survives because he has a counter inside a shoe shop. We have to hope that the shoe shop doesn't close down as he can repair and replace soles and heels that Timpson say they have to send away and it will cost you an arm and a leg.

I think it was a Timpson's I bought the last lot from
( https://www.timpson.co.uk/metal-segs-size-6-23mm.html )

When these run out I'll be ordering online though because we're in the middle of nowhere now (and it'll probably be cheaper anyway Cheesy )

How do you manage to wear out the segs on a pair of cowboy boots?

It takes a while, but eventually they become almost paper thin. I seem to have a very heavy tread on my heels

OK. I will re phrase.

How do you manage to wear cowboy boots for long enough to wear the segs out?

I thought they were only for fancy dress or sex games.

Mind you, more power to your elbow, (or knees if you prefer) vive la difference and all that.

ok - I wear them pretty much anytime I'm wearing a suit (for example). So not often but every now and again.

Like this picture - not shoes, cowboy boots.

...

That's amazing. Good for you.

Now I have to ask how this came about...

What bit? Wearing it with a suit?

They're good quality boots, why wouldn't I wear them with a suit?

... also they have heels raised more than normal boots so they make me look taller  Roll Eyes

This photo shows off better the detailing on Science Wife's dress and how she did her hair - also how I can't manage to keep a shirt tucked in Cheesy

Her dress  & hair are lovely. It should be obligatory for brides to wear their wedding dress at least once a month for the first year.

You on the other hand look like a typical cowboy - Scruffy, heading off into the sunset.
