I had so many answers in the 40's I changed Beckham's shirt number from 18 to 40. Aaaaaaaaaaargghhhh

2 point difference, sure you'll cope.
Read the answer and for some reason thought it was 23???

I actually guessed 23 thinking that his Real number was maybe his shirt number from when he started out.

Also just realised you're battling at the right end of the table so the 2 points are more important.

8. Dixie Dean (Tranmere Rovers, Everton) holds the record for the the most hat-tricks in English football. How many did he achieve in his career from 1923-1937?

The answer was a massive 37 Hat-tricks. Including 85 goals in the calendar year of 1928

Juperjiper 17(20)
Stato 22(15)
Dacorb 19 (18)

Nivrana 31 (6)
Tighty 40 (3)
4kSuited 56 (19)
BunnyD 52 (15)
Ledders 33 (4)

------Table after 8 rounds--------

Tighty charges into the league with an amazing run of scores of 3, 1, 3, 4, 3 in the last five rounds but it is incredibly...well...tight at the top. There are just six points covering the top four. All to play for for with just two rounds left. Ironside is left ruing the fact that the vagaries of UEFA co-efficients only allocate one Europe League place to Blonde Poker. The bottom three remain absolutely marooned and Nirvana finally has his name written correctly in the table.

I’ve had to adjust my goal.

And I’ve just achieved top position of the bottom three - please let me enjoy this by moving me up a spot in the charts! (Sorry Karabiner - it’s probably only temporary :0))

9. In 2018 Bradley Wright-Phillips became the fastest player to score 100 goals in Major League Soccer regular season games. How many matches did it take him?

The answer was 159.

Perhaps the biggest spread of answers so far puts the cat among the pigeons somewhat. 150 proved a solid answer for Tighty, Ironside and Karmadope, with Arbboy taking the over for the same score but Scotty just pips them by three points. Those believing that BWP could achieve more than a goal a game probably hadn't seen him plying his trade for Plymouth and Charlton before moving stateside.

165 Scotty  (6)
168 Arbboy  (9)
150 Tighty (9)
150 Ironside (9)
150 KarmaDope (9)
145 4kSuited (14)
175 Rubbish  (16)
177 Karabiner  (18)
133 Ledders (26)
131 Nirvana (28)
121 Dacorb (38)
95 BunnyD (64)
93 Stato (66)
82 Pokerpops (77)
75 Doobs (84)
67 Juperjiper (92)

Table to follow!

Table with one round left

After so long at the top Dacorb's chances are blown, falling to fifth place. It is probably a three horse race for the title at this point, but Ironside after moving into the Champions League places will feel he has an outside shot if his extensive knowledge of San Marinese football finally pays off.

After languishing in the relegation places for most of the season 4kSuited and Karabiner dramatically scramble to possible safety, plunging Doobs and JuperJiper into a relegation dogfight. Even more incredibly, after being bottom all season, Ledders now has a chance to get himself out of last place on the last question and has a small hope of avoiding the drop.

67 Tighty
73 KarmaDope
77 Rubbish
89 Ironside
-----------
98 Dacorb
-----------
117 Scotty
118 Arbboy
128 Nirvana
156 Pokerpops
159 Stato
171 BunnyDas
182 4kSuited
188 Karabiner
---------------
202 Doobs
202 Juperjiper
230 Ledders

10. San Marino played their first international fixture in 1990 against Switzerland and have only ever won one match out of the 164 that they have played. How many goals have they scored?

An imperious performance from Tighty sees him finish with a score of 71. His scorecard reading 28, 2, 14, 3, 1, 3, 4, 3, 9, 4. Congrats!

KarmaDope, Rubbish and Ironside complete the Champions League places with very solid scores for each of them.

After a flying start Dacorb fails by two points to sneak into the top four at the end as Ironside hangs on.

An absolute disaster from Pokerpops in the last round who plunges into the relegation zone on the last round after plodding along in mid table for most of the competition after vastly overestimating the potency of San Marino's attack. After all, Andy Selva (San Marino's record to goalscorer) has scored just eight international goals.

Juperjiper also goes down as does Ledders who remained in last place for the entire competition after collecting over half his total points on the second question.

71 Tighty
83 KarmaDope
93 Rubbish
101 Ironside
-----------
103 Dacorb
-----------
133 Scotty
134 Arbboy
144 Nirvana
172 Stato
175 BunnyDas
201 Karabiner
211 4kSuited
211 Doobs
---------------
215 Pokerpops
219 Juperjiper
237 Ledders

Thanks everyone. It was fun and I learnt how to use Excel again!

Nice one Bergeroo.

I must admit when  first saw the questions my immediate thought was if I could beat Tighty I would win. Right up his street this one, well played Bud.
