Q2 Turf Moor, Burnley in the 60s

Answers

Bergeroo   Burnley
KarmaDope Sheff U
Arbboy   Sheff U
Stato           Bournemouth
doobs   Sheff U
rubbish   Burnley
ripple          Burnley
Tal          Spurs

Running totals

Bergeroo         4

First * mark for Tal. Spurs, his own team

Three *** and you are disqualified

Yes this is a rule i have just made up

That doesn't sound good as I've put Glammy as an answer but I'm positive I'm wrong and I live a few hundred yards from there.

Q4 Zandvoort in the Nertherlands, by the coast and the sand dunes

Was back on the calendar this year, mainly for Max Verstappen's fans and revenue opportunities

then postponed through COVID

Bergeroo   Netherlands
KarmaDope Netherlands
Arbboy   India
Stato          UAE
doobs   Netherlands
rubbish   baku
ripple           morocco
Tal           vietnam

Most of these seem sensible, though the Baku (capital city street circuit) answer went to VAR. After a long delay it was ruled an acceptable guess. Would have been rubbish's second asterix

Globetrotter Bergeroo into the lead

Bergeroo      5
KarmaDope   4
rubbish      4
Tal              3
Arbboy      1
Stato              1
doobs      1
ripple              1

Which county cricket club plays here? was the question

I think i told the story before

the West Indies..Richards, the fast bowlers, Clive Loyd and all, played Essex at Stamford bridge the night after the Oval test match in 1980

Surrey were due to play but had reached the Lords final so graham gooch and team stepped in

I was 13. Friends dad took me and his son

Ran into Joel Garner in the corridor behind the executive boxes, he was so tall and the space so cramped he had to walk crouching along

the distance from the wicket to the big main stand which was square of the wicket was so small that i think every over saw severla sixes

Bergeroo   India
KarmaDope W Indies
Arbboy   India
Stato           India
doobs   W Indies
rubbish   W Indies
ripple          W Indies
Tal          W Indies

and its a three way tie at the top

Bergeroo            5
KarmaDope         5
rubbish            5
Tal                    4
doobs            2
ripple                    2
Arbboy            1
Stato                    1

One more than I thought I would get.

I think you've done the Burnley one before and possibly the Stamford Bridge one.

Great quiz though.
