$1,500 Deuce to Seven no limit

Nice

Bunch of nice small things, and then 1 vs 1 vs Racener.  My BUT vs his HJ.

I make 98542

He bets 4k into 10.6k. I very much imagine that small sizing is a very bottom of range hope that I have my bottom 30% of range auto folds

Anyway, doesn't matter, always calling

We're good, up to 49,800

$1,500 Deuce to Seven no limit

Nice

Up to 79k. Vs the very pleasant Japanese pro who's name I  can never remember.

End up all in for his 25k with my T5432 vs his (x)7632

I'm about 62%.

He draws a 7, for top pair

$1,500 Deuce to Seven

Rough.

HJ open to 3.5k at 1k-1.5k (2.5k)

Call (K)7632 cutoff

Button ships 31.5k. HJ fold

Make sure I tank the exact maths for a few minutes

Key bits

- I need almost exactly 40%
- If against a 1 draw, I'll have 55%
- If against pat ten, likely 42%
- If against a pat 9, likely 33%
- If against an unusually good pat 9, 25%

It's just about a call.

Draw 1. Pat

Rough news. He has the unlikely pat 9 which means a 9 is no good, and leaves me with only 12 outs.

7632, I draw a.....

Seven

Down to 42,500

$1,500 Deuce to Seven no limit

Last two levels of day. Up to 42k.

Was down to 24k, got a (x)9743 on the cutoff, which is a standard move in.

What actually happened was I made it 14,500, and Calvin Anderson called the big. We both drew one, I looked down at the probable-exit news of 97433. He checked, I check behind, and the good news comes that he declares 'fives,' and shows 95542.

The 'all in without quite moving all in' is something I like in Holdem tournaments. There, the reasons are mainly psychological. If people watch enough that they see the regular pattern(basically impossible in live poker), either they would find an imbalance, or it if was balanced , it comes to the same thing anyway.

However, in deuce, it definitely does make a difference,  because of course the next street can leave someone dead, or near dead.

I backed myself to think quicker on the GTO than Anderson (helped by the fact has 280k for the probable chip lead). He needs to bluff that five. I actually may have to call the pair of threes, but he basically makes me indifferent. I'll bluff the nines and sevens.

Anyway, back to last 3 levels. Presumably we'll make the money today

42k with 106/453 left

$1,500 Deuce to Seven no limit

Sigh. OUT. Tough to take circumstances.

I'll do the action first....

I have 34.5k  behind in the 3k big blind, and Calvin Anderson raises to 7k from lowjack. Melanie Weisner makes it 26k from the button.

We have 96432. Beautiful.  Move in. Anderson fold.
Weisner call.

We actually hope Weisner is pat, as we have 80%+ of her pat range beat, and she either can't break, or won't break, most of it.

Pat from me...

With no more 'acting' necessary, (as there can be on calling all in), we just need her to not snap pat.

She doesn't snap pat. Great.  Unless she's very inexperienced, we're basically 100% good if she does ultimately pat.

She seems pained. Says 'well, I can't break.' Great, now, if she pats, we're 100% good.

She does pat. Unless something ridiculous has happened , we're up to near 80k.

Something ridiculous has happened. She shows 86432.

I'll be honest. It's a completely ridiculous nitroll. (The difference in deuce being that its possible to nitroll the drawing decision).

To be very clear, there is the world of difference between a slowroll and a nitroll, the latter being of course completely unintentional. But, that being the case, it's the biggest nitroll I'll ever see.

I'll be honest. It initially hurts more. The detail doesn't in reality, make any difference. Its just a different way of running into a cooler.

Tomorrow is a new day.

I have known many times when minus $50k has been a pretty sight

Your experienced enough to not let it cloud your judgement so its still to play for

$10,000 Pot Limit Omaha

Miserable river

Raise HJ. CO and BUT call.

. Gin

Right to play for check raise.  Checked around

. Gin.  (Nuts with flush redraw and straight flush redraw)

Feels right to check again.  Button bets 1.5k. Raise to 6k

.

I check. He pots, 15k.

Puke. I have a flush, but extra block the 9, for the 97 and QJ9 that we want him to have. It feels like it has to be a fold.
