Only just spotted it, but I remember Morston winning the year after Blakeney I believe in only it's second race.

It was indeed only Morston's second race, & it as also his last, he was never to run again, & was syndicated to go to Stud soon after. Blakeney eventually ended up at The National Stud. We can safely assume they both enjoyed an active & happy retirement.

But your memory is playing tricks with you - it's an age thing - Blakeney was 1969, Morston won in 1973.

Oh well half right, not too bad.

What is it they say about the 60's and 70's, if you can remember them you weren't there !

Now when you reach my age.......

Here's the Official News about the blonde Live Update Team for Vegas - shamelssly cut & pasted from another thread.....

"....Jen, you gonna knock 'em over!

And hopefully, enjoy your time in Vegas.

Oh - guess I had better announce to the blondeites that Jen is coming to Vegas as part of the blonde Live Update Team. She was so popular in Walsall - well, what could we do?

We got a few helpers lined up in Vegas too - Colchester Kev, Rhowena. We can't fail with that team. I am hopng that Jen & I will share the updating load - there will be a lot of ground to cover to see who has what chips - so it's far too much for one man. Though I fancy Jen could cope alone, having seen her vaulting over chairs in Walsall!..."
