Come on Kiv you know as well as i do that women can't compete with men in golf or footie, how else can they win anything?
It is discrimination, pure and simple. You either agree with it or not, i don't.
All I can say is if your vocal opinion on this matter has stopped ladies signing up then you have done blondepoker a disservice.
Just carrying on Emily Pankhursts hard work mate...........
Whilst potentially ruining the hard work of the people who run blondepoker, the place where you post no less.
To each his own.

No IFM.. I believe there is a difference here...
Women can join any tourney they want...they also have a choice as to whether they want to join this one.
So we have extra equal rights...
That is so funny on so many levels
Equality means more choice for women? LOL
Oh and a big LOL for baron too!!

Baron, chill pill time mate .... ifm is expressing an opinion, he is not, and has not, ever asked anyone not to play it. Healthy debate is good, and no harm is intended.

Agreed. I'd just like to hear a bit of positive posting too. Let's encourage the players.

I shall be entering and if i win it will be a lovely birthday treat
. I kind of agree that it is wrong to do female only comps, but the vast majority of poker players are men - something like this may ensnare more women into the game

Hmm
I see where Matt was going with his point about it being ladies only. However, I disagree. If we followed that reckoning, then we wouldn't have any female sports at all. Females would have to try and get into male footie teams, males tennis tournaments, male rugby matches. There wouldn't be too much going on for women.
Also, does this mean that when I was playing for my under 10s local footie team, that there was a touch of ageism going on? Should all ages be forced to play together? Are we discriminating against Wayne Rooney because he can no longer play for the England under 15s?
Let's not forget that a women's event is also a way of encouraging females into poker and what is generally considered to be a male dominated recreation.
