The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

So - with the blinds at 100 - 200, what could be more exciting than some up to the minute CHIP COUNTS???

Big Trevor Reardon   9,500
Greek Jack              16,000
Stuart Nash             11,200
Paul King                 6,500     (having seen non-productive AKs and JJs all the way through the start, he's coming back...)
B4Matt                    7,000
Simon Zach              13,000
Marc Goodwin           6,600

Willie Tann                6,500
El Blondie<---------        9,500
tikay                         11,000 (after shooting to 17k and then calling off a few thousand with an overpair on a 5 6 6 7 8 board - turned out to be QQ against 77 for the house....)
Woody Deck             16,800
Burnley John              8,500
Paul Jackson               14,100
RED DOG                   8,000

Hi Charmaine - this has been much more interesting than we hoped - plenty of exciting hands and some nice dramatic early exits (a rumour has filtered to me that Lawrence Gosney was out in the first hand - sorry if you already knew that).  Not that we're just hovering like vultures -

However, the latest news from Snoops is that Matt Tyler is OUT - he'll fill you in.

Marc Goodwin is NOT OUT. I repeat NOT OUT.

I was just about to post that he was, but he's NOT. I repeat, NOT OUT.

Quote from Tikay.

Tikay: Are you from Cardiff?
Waitress: No. Poland.
Tikay: Well, the Cardiff side of Poland though.

Hmm, tikay not too hot on his accents then. Easy to mix up the Polish and the Welsh.

At one point, prebreak, tikay was up to around 15k, but he dropped back down after the following hand:

tikay held QQ. He called a preflop raise of 400.

Flop = 6-7-8

check, check

Turn = 6

tikay bets 1000, mateyboy calls

River = 5

mateyboy bets 4k, tikay calls.

Mateyboy shows 7-7

eek

tikay saw that trap a mile off, but clearly dropped his chips.

No doubt Tikay thought he saw a rarebit.

Got waved over to tikay's table just now, as there is an empty seat where Howard Plant used to be.  He took a bit of a beat with  against  all in preflop.  But the Board ruined his hopes by bringing 2 10 8 J....K.

tikay said, "He got up, shook everyone's hand, thanked them all for the delightful game and walked away," at which point everyone started laughing.  No idea why.

Oh, and another thing -

Double up for Dave!

In a rare act of something resembling charity, Woody Deck, in the process of turning 24,000 chips to 0 in 20 minutes, made a big move with  against El Blondie's raise from the blind.  He found a call and a victorious  , however, and the blond one is up to around 20k.

Also on his table, however, Nottingham Nick is sitting pretty with over 30,000...
