Dreams intrigue me

I used to have two recurring dreams.

One I have had since childhood, of being chased through woods by alsatians. I would wake up, soaked in sweat, just after a dog had attached my arm to its mouth.

That dream has long since stopped but to this day I cross the road at the sight of an alsatian near me.

Another I began to have when life was comparatively tough (comparatively for me, not compared to a lot of people) ; work became unenjoyable and stressful etc etc

I would be stuck in a lift, heading down...it would accelerate and I would wake up just before the lift crashed to the floor.

Amazingly this dream stopped the moment I left work and became a loafer.

The inner workings of the human subconscious fascinates me. I have looked and researched and I gather that dreams can be the subconscious' way of focusing your conscious mind on what is troubling you. Apparently the fact that the lift didn't crash to the floor was my way of telling myself "it'll be alright"

Now I wouldn't normally post any of this, I'm not really the type who gives away too much of myself on here too often but the last two nights I have had a couple of corkers, particularly

being at a funeral of an unknown person, me dressed in nothing but a dressing gown with a few other details I'll keep to myself  Cheesy

Cue me spending the next few days trying to work that one out!

Who else is interested in dreams and the psychology of dreams?

Hmmmm. A dressing gown and some other bits you dont want to tell about? the dressing gown suggests you are relaxed about passing on butnot ready for it yet, hence the lounging in the dressing gown and not fully clothed. I am interested in the other things though as these might be the teller. maybe you aint ready to Tell yet hence the dressing gown?  lol
you can read lots from dreams but they are usually pretty obvious. I have had weird ones over the years. The best one is being able to fly. Like treading water only in fresh air. I can do big 'BOING BOING' steps over buildings. Class!
My teeth have also fell out several times over the years in dreams. Apparrently a new beginning and doing away with the past? Ive a few more but i wont bore you.
I LOVE DREAMING

I have two reoccurring ones too.  I've been having them for so long now that I can't even remember when they started:

1.  I am in a house, not my house, not anyone I know's house, but suddenly I find a secret room (usually a door hidden behind another door) - this room is usually a sumptuous bedroom with a MEGA huge en suite bathroom.  No one knows about the room but me and the emotions I go through on finding this room are amazing.  I always think of it as my "sanctuary", no one can find me and no one can touch me in here.  BLISS!!

2.  I suddenly remember I have hundred and hundreds of hutches full of animals (rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets  etc) and all of them are on the verge of starvation and dehydration, but I get to them in time.  Weird thing is even the few that have actually died come back to life again when I feed and water them - bloody weird!!

Anyone got a spare padded cell?

Actual research on the 'unconscious thought' thing.

It doesn't say if Tikay was one of the test subjects.

I got a dream book for xmas and I had one two nights ago where I was being chased by a female lion and it managed to grab my coat and then I was wrestling it in the middle of a field. I've never had a dream like this before so I looked it up and it said if the lion wasn't killed it means there is going to be a successful development.

I'm looking forward to owning the interview on friday Grin
