but looking at all of the factors, including my position at the table, (having the short stacks on my right and the big stacks on my left) i felt that, if i didn't take my chances here, i could quickly become the weakest dog for the rest of the pack to gang up on.
I agree that making snap decisions is usually not a good thing to do, but, i'd decided that, in this dog-eat-dog world of poker, my opponent would be shoving with a very wide range, so , i pretty much snap-called.

. I hit a 3 on the flop, which was enough to win the hand and send my poker buddy to the rails. He wasn't very impressed with my call, which is why i thought i'd ask for your thoughts on this board.
I went on to win the comp. Which was nice.
