i find it hard to think of the bigger picture in the heat of the moment thats the problem,

Count to 100 before you react, and review the hands before posting?

That AJ v Q10 hand for instance. Do you think you played it well? Why shove the flop? What was villain supposed to think about your hand? In his shoes would you fold there?
Because worse calls all the time in these, again reads on the player would be helpful. Overall was the hand played well? I would say yes without any further reads. I would not play it the same but the way it was played was fine imo.

What would add a lot to this though is if we had some stats on the players. Especially things like PFR and fold to 3bet stats. Ash, are you using PT or HEM?

Worse called, but here's the thing, he also calls a lot with better here a very large proportion of the time and we don't have any clues about him.
HEM2, now it's working properly, gives you some of those clues and much more. Worth investing money, and time.

FWIW I wasn't necessarily criticising the way the hand played out. But posting it for a line-check with a WWYD on the flop question will generate better results than just raging against the fact that the 10 fell on the river.

David he doesn't call with better a large percentage of the time mate. He does not have better a large percentage of the time to do this. Yes he calls every time he has a better hand but that is unusual we are ahead more often than not when he calls. The question is do we make more chips by flatting the flop and letting him fire the air in hid range on the turn. Will discuss later :-)

Is the AJ hand in question the hand where villain bets 600 and we have 2800 total on jt5 w/ fd?

Played perfectly imo, no other option but to go allin. We are ahead 9 times out of 10, we get called by worse jacks, Tx getting stubborn cos there's a fd, flush draws also call, and hands like KQ, Q9 even AK AQ might call (probs not far off the right price) and there's loads of bad turn cards for us, that either lose us action (eg spade comes and KJ/AT shuts down) or we don't know what to do on (eg K or Q comes and he bets, we don't know what to do).

Wp OP imo.

My tip would be to not post mid session or directly after sessions. The raw emotions come out easily and you usually regret them.

I have kept a diary here for over 2 years and have had the same problems and it's defo better to just wait till after the session to post when you're more relaxed and rational. It's impossible to not feel some of the things you feel- "what are you doing? Why are you calling!" Because it is annoying when they win, but it only takes a beer, a chat with a mate or whatever and a lot of experience (both in poker and life (why Tikay shines in this area;) ) to realise that we may not like it, but we need these things to happen to make a profit from this game long term.

Tikay has put it better than me as usual, but I thought I'd throw my Two Clubs in as a fellow 24 year old who had these issues and is still a mental game fish from time to time.
