It's not an easy ride, mostly desert and has at least 2 or 3 significant long climbs en route. There is definitely a very steep climb coming out of the la metro area whichever way you go.

Probably like bilzerian side but have no real idea of his fitness/ cycling background. I mean some of the climbs will be impossible for someone who has no fitness.

It doesn't sound like there's any cycling history. Obv he's ripped. He does some MMA stuff. There's also the heart attack history.

One of the stipulations is Dan has to arrive in Vegas and overall that's a 540m accent. Is Perkins hustling in the knowledge that Dan won't manage the climbs? (no idea how bad they are)

I forgot also that Dan has a reputation for "skipping leg day" maybe Perkins has taken this into account also.

I'm pretty sure this is for $600k according to BPs Instagram account.

I would take Bills side. Dans not healthy, he is strong.

Matchbook have a market up for the prop bet. Dan's a 1.3/1.5  favourite to complete the challenge.

Sam Abernathy has just done the same journey in 72 hours for $10k.  Guess the price must have shortened?

She has put some pretty cool short reports up on her twitter.

The videos were a nice touch. Aside from the saddle sore and leg pain it all sounds rather fun.

Doing it in 48hours instead of 72 will be a lot less fun.

It won't be easy. The first 80 miles will be brutal. Uphill all the way with lots of congestion I imagine. Can't be nice with heavily polluted air either.

put his Jet up vs $250k from Rick Solomon also it appears.

G4 Priv Jet I'm assuming has a value of +1/4mil?

Must Fancy his chances.

I watched Bill Perkins periscoping it for a bit last night.

He had a bus that was following, and Perkins said it must have cost Bilzerian 100k+ to pay for all the police escorts that they had out of Vegas.

I've just seen Dan's twitter clip. He was drafting a mini van, with doors wide open, and additional wind blocking panels underneath the rear. Essentially a mini version of what Guy Martin did on route to 112mph.

With that sort of assistance he'll crush it.

Additionally he's on a recumbent bicycle.

Their main advantage is a more even weight distribution which alleviates traditional saddle pain felt on endurance rides. A perceived downside to recumbent's is their suitability for uphill climbs. Riders of traditional bikes get their weight forward when going up hills. Dan should be past the worst of the climbs though.

Should have done it my way and saved himself a fortune.

But your way is against the rules of the bet.  Apparently there are lots of rules written down, but Dan has spotted a loophole.

I do think he is a mighty cockend, but love what he has done here.

Also read that he paid for a police escort out of town, can anybody just do this in real life?
