The Swiss Cottage - a small Irish pub in peterborough has a great offer on Cheltenham week Buy a pint of Guinness watch the racing n when you've drunk that pint you can buy another one rinse n repeat A few years 2? Ago the barman informed me I'd done just that 17 times and at 730 pm I wasn't as pissed as some who had called in at 5 pm for a swifty on the way home ! Sounds like a plan to me What!? If you buy a pint, you can buy another pint so no offer what so ever but you bought and drank 34 pints of Guinness by 7.30pm and the barman told you that you weren't as pissed as some of the people who had been drinking for 2.5 hours? No 17 he said not 34 ! That's a steady 2/3 pints an hour

Hello Tips for Tikay fans Quick question, due to an ongoing mortgage application i'm wanting to keep gambling transactions to a minimum this year so going to punt with one bookie, can somebody let me know who they think is best value over the 4 days. "next door" have the daily offer just wondered if anybody who's significantly shrewder than me could point me toward a better place for my mug bets. I can't use £3.65 or our irish friends Kind Regards Chris just posted this on tips for tikay but might be better to ask the experts here? any help would be greatly appreciated

Open a new current account, stick a lump in it, and use that debit card exclusively for gambling stuff. Then just don't mention it on the mortgage application.
Your main account with salary etc will be clean as a whistle.

Then you don't have to use your card

I've just looked at my emails and it's just Cheltenham offers, a lot of them are with firms I haven't used in years:
Betway - Deposit £10, get a £10 free bet
Stan James - Bet £5, get £5 free bet
Bet 365 - Free bet on winners over 4/1
Sky - Free bet (upto £20) if you lose in the first race
Boyles - Stake back as a free bet if your horse finishes 2nd/3rd to SP FAV.

Just had a quick check on sky. If your account has staking restrictions you can't get their first race offer.
I assume this applies to a few of these, be careful.

There is a Betfair Sportsbook offer that offers a free bet if your horse wins up to £25 if your horse is 3/1 or more. Is this offer any good maths fans?
I think the best strategy here is to back horses as close to 3/1 exactly so you get 4/1 in effect. Usual operating procedure for free bets is to find something around the 8/1 mark, right?

Pretty close. I don't worry too much about the price on the first horse. I tend to just back the ones I like. I'd be careful of going too close to 3/1. They can easily start at an SP of 5/2 and you lose the offer.

To be honest, I'm not putting any thought in whatsoever as I haven't got time (or skill). Just trying to game the offers. The Skybet free bet refund on the first race seems like a thought free way of making money.
