I'm trying to identify a famous piece of classical music. It sounds a bit like the Hamlet cigar one.

The first 7 notes are all the same length (about 2 seconds) and each note is one tone lower than the previous one, the next two notes go up the scale one tone each.

I think the lead instrument is a cello with a piano accompaniment.

Seriously though I have loved this piece of music for ages and was determined that whichever lucky girl managed to get me down the aisle would walk down the aisle to that piece of music and Petra did so with 2 violinist's playing in the church when we got married so as soon as I read your post I took an educated guess Wink
