yes i do feel pretty sick after suggesting to a friend last week it wouldnt be the biggest surprise ever

did i back him? did i heck Sad
Backed him at 25/1 to get the job last year.

Instead they paid Pompey money for a manager they were about to sack.

Surely they must win gold to be a contender? Pendleton isn't even fav for her event.

11/8 to win the time trial.

Cancellara 2nd fav if he really quit the tour to be with his wife for the birth of his child then that's good news. Probably was lying and went to train to try and fine some time on Brad.

What price would you be a backer of Wiggins to win an Olympic gold this year?

which events will he be competing in?

Surely he'll be knackered

On today's stae he struggled up the last climb, with Froome pacing him and virtually waiting for him

Phenomenal effort, but I can't see him being 100% in a fortnight?
Time trial - same distance as the one we've had in the Tdf so far which he won beating the 2 major threats Olympic Champ Cancellara and World Champ Martin.

Think he was hoping to ride the team time trial but just checked and he wasn't picked. The lads breaking the WR at the Worlds this year while he wasn't there probably didn't help.

He'll also ride in the road race for Cav.

Not sure about the tiredness - "struggled up the last climb" also equals "came 3rd and took time out of all of his rivals"
A lot is made of how much work Froome has done. Froome has done awesome (he's 2nd so that is obvious) but Wiggins has still had to keep up and nobody else has managed to do so. I don't think any of his rivals have taken time off him in a stage yet have they?
Yesterday Nibali attacked and Froome couldn't keep up so Wiggins pulled him back in himself and brought Froome with him. He's so strong he just hasn't had to get out of his saddle.

Not hard to work out the odds now he's only competing in one event!

Caro the greatest housemate of all time?

Can't stand Luke A so hope he goes this week. Hate he thinks everyone else fixes nominations when they moan the most about the others.

What a part. Amazed people still try it in cycling.

Cavendish 3/1 with will hill for tomorrows TDF stage is big in what should be a 2 horse race.
Hasn't got the train he had in previous years but still the greatest sprinter and think the reason he's still riding is he wants to win in Paris again (will be the best ever as yellow winning team all kill themselves for him on final day) and because he wants to take the record for most stage wins by a sprinter this year.

Pele scored some amazing goals but that pass is the most memorable thing for me. Recreated a million times on 5 a side footy pitches worldwide

David Silva's pass against United was better.
Yeah but not as iconic. They way he just opens his body and lays it off. So simple yet effective.
Sheringham to Shearer v Holland in 96 was an amazing example of this.

My twitter timeline seems to be gathering some support of Suarez for Olympic top scorer. Think he scored a hatrick in a warm up game tonight. 10/1 with coral.

You know football has gone crazy when your first thought after seeing a 65mil transfer figure quoted is "Euros? That seems cheap."

See the TDF thread for a little bit of value I reckon there is in Froome

To be clear, you recommend Froome for the Outright?
If so, he is available at 13/1 currently.
Don't know what jjandellis thinks now but from what he and the team have said today I'm convinced they are just riding for Wiggins and win or lose Froome will not be leaving him unless he's injured.

does anybody think he could be innocent?
Yes. Not sure if I think he is or not as despite all the "Terry's a dick" stuff I've no idea how likely the bloke is to be a racist but certainly believe he could be innocent.

Notts Forest confirmed bought on twitter- 9/1 on betfair, 16s available with Boyles and co. Probably worth a decent chunk with the view to trade off, depending on Tikays utility of money.
Don't have a left back. Both CB's have left on free transfers this week and Mcleary had already gone.
Rumours that the manager will be replaced.
The takeover was known about for a while and they shortened as a result.
No doubt the money will make a big difference but I think they are way behind in preparation for this season. They haven't been able to offer deals and if the manager is set to change then transfer targets won't be being worked on.
I think they will compete this season but cardiff and leicester both have plenty of money and will be ahead in prep as well as the relegated teams with parachute payments.
