£40 Stevenage @ 11/2 to be relegated from league one.

Fancy they're in for a big struggle this season. The mighty Posh have just nicked their best player - Michael Bostwick (best bit of business by any club so far this summer) - and Lawrie Wilson, who's impressed me every time I've seen him, has gone to Charlton.

They were a well-organised bunch of hoofers who over-achieved last season but they've lost their key players and could well suffer a play-off hangover.

Westley knew when to get out if you ask me. Not at all convinced by this new guy.

Will top up on them to finish bottom when the prices come out.

Is this price likely to disappear?
If not, I'm sure tikay would love to place this bet himself so I'll defer.

Generally 9/2, as short as 7/2 in a place, the 11/2 won't be there for long...

They are 6/4 to win the group including Great Britain, Senegal and the UAE.

Recommend 4 million @ 6/4

Gulp......

I'll need a few of my Main Event stakes to come good I think......

Please be sensible, 3 million max.

Must be a good bet.
The maximum that I can get is £1.82.

Anyone managed to get a decent bet on Uruguay for the Olympics?

Tonight Warrington v Catalan @ golf Rugby League

This is  a huge match for Warrington. They are 2nd in the league and need to win this to stay there. A couple of months ago we backed Catalan in the reverse fixture and saw them stroll in by 24 points. This will be a different ball game. Warrington rested several players last week and were humbled at Salford. Tonight  I expect Warrington to be ruthless. Catalan had 3 players playing for the exiles and they remained in this country afterwards so Catalan have not trained as a team this week. Warrington have already beaten Catalan this season, in the Challenge Cup, so they will have no fear this evening.

I have checked the weather forecast and it should be dry tonight in Warrington.

At 2-9 there is little to be won with a straight Warrington win but I like the look of Evs on Warrington to win by 13+ points with Blue Sq. The 11/10 with W Hill was better but that has just gone.  Recommend £30.

Looks an interesting bet.
Certainly Catalan Dragons will be under-strength and Warrington should be near full strength looking to make amends after last week.
13+ seems like a bit margin, though.
I'm going to wait until the TV coverage starts before deciding.

If Cardace is playing opposite Joel Monaghan I'd be keen to back Monaghan to score; sadly best odds of 8/13.
Monaghan is 9/2 to score a hat-trick with SkyBet (the only firm offering this market).
The hat-trick prices never seem very generous to me.

Any other comments?

It's been raining.
Still a bet?
Prices that I can see:
> 12 10/11
> 14 evens

Briers out and it's raining again.
I'm going to swerve this one.
I could be persuaded though. Smiley

for those of you that have never seen / watched speedway i wish you all had seen event 2 of the speedway world cup live  (ss2) last night,  it was an unbelivable meeting , non stop action for all 20 heats, the gb team did us proud and pushed australia all the way,  i think 1 things clear from last night that the aussies are missing darcy ward, he is still 50/50 for the final struggling with a broken hand, trust me they need him for this bet to  win, hopefully he will fully recover if he does i think they will win easily, holder and crump where outstanding and well backed up by davy watt, im gonna see if he recovers in time and if he does im gonna put a little bit more on at now available odds of 11/8 (hills ) good luck !!!

See the TDF thread for a little bit of value I reckon there is in Froome

To be clear, you recommend Froome for the Outright?
If so, he is available at 13/1 currently.
