The Camel

I nearly put this post at the end of the updates, but I feel it needs as wide an eudience as possible.
Early on Day 2 of the Monte Carlo tournament at DTD a stack arrived on my table with noone playing it.
It was at least average size when it appeared but as the blinds rose it rapidly dwindled away.
I assumed it was someone stuck at home by the terrible weather, but during a break I learned it was owned by a player who had to leave late on Day 1 to deal with a family emergency.
When I got back to my table I asked everyone if they agreed with me that £1090 should be taken off the first prize and returned to the guy.
All my tablemates rapidly agreed.
So I asked Rob if he would seek permission from the other players remaining if they would agree to this plan.
He replied not to worry, he would sort out the player from his own pocket.
Could you imagine this happening at a traditional UK Casino?
Not a chance.
So I thought I would post this in recognition of a really generous act and hope the family emergency turns out ok.

You have a PM Keith.
Yes, a typically splendid gesture by Rob.
The whole thing was very sad.

This was 100% guaranteed to happen.
Never in any doubt whatsoever given the circumstances.
