I thought the 2013 Tour one of the best. 100% better than last year, despite what looks like Froome dominance, the other teams & riders came out to attack. I can only really think of two dullish stages. Click to see full-size image. |

Sorry to hijack with a silly post, as I don't have any knowledge on cycling, however I could resist...
I think its' great that the French have kept up the recent trend, and continue allow us travel around the country to showcase our best of talent for 3 weeks of the year, especially when they themselves like cycling.
I think they even have a long race or something.

Hi Tonji.
A quick "thank you" for this thread, & the daily TdF Updates.
Your enthusiasm for all things bike racing is lovely to see, & you've allowed many of us to share the fun.
blonde survives because of threads like this.

After three weeks of the toughest bike race, Froome doesn't have a holiday. From tonight he'll ride a series of criteriums across Holland and Belgium. bugger that!

Have you seen the now traditional ITV montage? http://www.itv.com/tourdefrance/features/the-final-itv-montage-for-a-historic-100-edition-of-the-tour-de-france/I'll be certainly in Yorkshire for next years opening stages. Crowds will be massive.

He was in the team car on Alpe D'Huez, the day Froome ran out of food & energy. He's the prime sponsor of Team Sky so suppose he's allowed extra snacks!

Cheers Tonji for the awesome coverage, as per usual. Not been able to contribute as still not go tbroadband since moving.
Where do see the challenge from Quintana in the next couple of years? He seemed to come of age as the tour went on. If he continues to improve he could be the next GC dominant force imo
