Some potentials for podium.
With the unfortunate demise of Euskaltel - Euskadi at the end of the season, the ever present Samuel Sanchez will be looking for a top GC finish & certainly stage wins. The Basque team have selected their top climbers for their final Grand Tour in Igor Anton & Mikel Nieve. I can see Sanchez making top 5, although it'd not be a surprise to see him higher. Either Nieve or Anton top 10. I've taken Nieve in the top 10 market at 7/2.
AG2R adopt the same policy as the Giro with two lead riders in Betancur & Pozzovivo, both have never ridden in the Vuelta. Betancur has not raced in 3 months & has reportedly been sick, he's likely to be using the Vuelta as a build up to Worlds. Pozzovivo went well in Poland, on top form he's a top class climber, but struggles to put it all together in a three week race. For me a stage win & top 10 would be his level.
Sky have Henao as the designated leader. Normally the lieutenant to either Froome or Wiggins it's his first opportunity in a GT. He'll have strong support from his friend Rigoberto Uran. I suspect if he is to make the podium he will need a strong final week, with the likes of Rodriguez & Valverde feeling the after effects of the Tour & weakening.
Saxo-Tinkoff have one of the strongest teams. It's unclear who will lead, but the options are Kreuziger, Roche, Majka or Sorensen. Personally I think Rafal Majka after his recent 4th in Poland has the greatest potential.

In the US Pro, Acevedo won the Queen stage & is now third 30 seconds down on TJ, needs a top ITT tomorrow to hold. I'm told PP opened his price pre race at 250/1

Stage 1. TTT. 365 have priced this stage up. OPQS evens favourite. Fair enough, any team with Tony Martin in will be hard to beat. Not really any prices out of line, perhaps Sky at 14/1.

The year of the London Prologue depart. Is the DVD a package of each stage highlights from ITV?

Sprint stages only get 10 or so minutes but an hour plus for the mountains. 13 hours total coverage. Was bloody expensive @ £70 but couldnt see it anywhere cheaper on UK DVD. Gonna buy the 2009 tour after the Vuelta!

I'm told PP opened his price pre race at 250/1 Acevedo slipped out of the top 3 in the ITT, can't see him gaining 30+ seconds to regain 3rd in the final two stages Still a good EW bet Hoping for some decent bets in the next three weeks

Theo Bos does not start the Vuelta. He was likely to have been a favourite for the sprint stages, this'll make the bookies job harder in pricing up flat stages!

I think you should do a straight forecast on those picks Tonji. I've had a punt on Orica-Greenedge and BMC, in case Tony Martin falls off his bike (like I did yesterday).

Yep did OPQS/RadioShack @ 8/1 on sky. Martin & Cancellara should bring their teams home well or just plain break them!
