This was dinner today, gyozo? Or something like that, basically fried dumplings with various fillings in, mostly quite nice. A fiver including a beer. Click to see full-size image. |
These little shops seem to be the my staple when I eat local. Click to see full-size image. |
Also did some laundry today, pretty cool machine it does everything for you including put powder in and dries your clothes, that's Jap efficiency for ya. Click to see full-size image. |
There was the usual bit of head scratching working everything out though.... Click to see full-size image. |

Gyoza!*
Nice pics tho Woodsey.
One of my favourite restaurants is a particularly obscurely located Japanese Barbeque down a random backstreet in Macau. It's open til 2am, expensive and always full.

Excellent pics Woodsey.
How do you plan your itinerary, did you decide before you went or are you making it up as you go?

Pretty much have a rough itinerary which is flexible as needed, if I'm bored with a place I move on and I'll stay longer in places I like. My only commitment is a flight out of Hiroshima at the back end of next week, so as long as I make it there for then with at least a day to see the sights there I'm not bothered what happens between now and then. Think I'll head to Osaka in the morning, but I'll see which way the winds blowing when I wake up.

So how do you find places to stay, do you just rock up somewhere and look for lodgings?
What are you doing for phone / wifi?

A lot of places yes, not done that here as much though as it's more expensive than other Asian countries I've been to so don't want to be left stuck paying a lump if stuff is sold out. Wifi is basically available everywhere so don't need a local sim or anything.
