Right after motivation from Greekstein and a few others on my 1000th post thread i have decided to start a diary in order to keep me motivated and to listen to and advice hints and tips from other members.
I have just had my first weigh in and currently weigh 23st 7lbs (edit). I will update my weight once a week.
I am also going to set myself some goals. A short and long term goal to head towards.
Cos said he is willing to stake me 20% of what i need for next month at DTD if i set up this diary and this is my first goal......
Short Term Goal (1-2 months): To lose 1 stone by BB8 or i have to refund Cos the 20% if i fail this goal.
Long Term Goal(6 months): To be under 20 stone by Jan 1st 2010
Life Goal: This is the goal to make a lifestyle change for the better and to keep it up indefinetly.
I hope to hear a lot of positive thoughts from you all and hope if i start slacking you all give me a kick up the backside.
Cheers Girgy

To start my new lifestyle i have just had a new healtier tea. I have had a Jacket Potatoe, Grilled Chicken, Salad and Cottage Cheese and i have my alarm set for 8am in the morning and i am going to get up and go for a long walk. I already have a route mapped out in my head which is easily over 2 miles so i will time myself and report back here tomorrow afternoon.

Good luck with it!
Just as important as a good diet is regular strenuous exercise. Have you ever thought about running an RSQ, for instance?

Good Luck Girgy
I hope you can keep it up. I believe as regarding the exercise I think with your weight you should start small and build up, I think 2 miles is a bit much if you are not used to walking so much also as you say you do not have much time, it would take a while for you to walk 2 miles. I would say try and walk twice a day, once in morning once at night and gradually increase the distance. However, I am no expert, but I tried to go on a health kick last year and found about half a mile enough at beginning, but I am old and you are young so perhaps you could do more. Anyway good luck with your efforts.
