PM me your answers by 7pm on Tuesday 19th April.

Please put RSQ 53 in the subject header and give the corresponding number for each question with each answer.

The reveal will take place at 8pm on Tuesday 19/04/2011 on this thread.

Your score for each question is the number of people who give the same correct answer. The answer most commonly given is called the sheep, with the corresponding sheep score.  If you score the only ACE (an ace being a correct answer which no-one else submits) in any round, you will receive MINUS 1 points for that round.

If you give an incorrect answer, you will receive the sheep score + 5 points

You are not allowed to do research such as using Google to come up with answer  and you are not allowed to ask others for help with your answers. Obvious Googled answers will be failed if 3 or more players lodge an objection

Any other objections to the scoring will have to be seconded

Thanks for asking me to be Quizmaster  . I hope it will be fair and straightforward

Questions might be a bit specific, Mr. Crow.

There are many possible answers to all the questions,

But the skill is selecting an answer that no-one else has chosen.

Obviously googled answers will be failed

I think snoopy's point is that most people aren't going to know one answer for some of the questions, or maybe only one answer - which isn't really the point of the RSQ.

One of the questions I can't give one answer to, so that'll be my pass. Some of the others I know maybe two answers (for some there aren't more than a couple of answers which again isn't the point of the RSQ.

Mmm

Are there really LOTS of answers to Q2?  Don't you think that most people will know only two or three possible answers (are there any more?)?

Q11 is going to be a little bit tough for the younger blondes, don't you think? Remember people can only pass one, and you're basically eliminating lots of people from taking part.

11 is just about ok I think. 6 and 3 are tricky though. Just drop those two and there's 10 decent qs there.

Few poor questions in there.

Isn't 9 poorly worded?

1.  A singer or group that has recorded "Stairway to Heaven " (I know the Original group thats it..)
2. An Actor who has played the captain of the Star Ship Enterprise (I never watched this...)
3. A character from" In the night garden " (Never heard of this? is it a radio show or tv, book?)
4.  A film starring Russell Crowe (finally a decent question)

6. An MP that had to resign   for expenses fiddling (Possibly the most obsurd question, so acute its unreal)

9.  Any car that costs new over £200,000  ( the make not the model ) (I would have to make a guess no idea)

11. A band member of Pink Floyd or Status quo (Way too old for me, I could possibly guess one)

Due to popular demand , and to keep as many people playing as possible

one or two questions will be changed

Before I do, Does anyone else have a question they don't like

Or cannot think of more than one answer

luckily no-one has sent any answers in yet lol

But

There are 5 well known covers of "Stairway", the most recent was last year ( On YouTube )

There are 13 actors who have been a captain of the Enterprise in recent films and on TV

including  members of the crew who were "acting captain" while the captain was missing presumed dead

Russell Crowe has appeared in 32 films according to his fansite so its not a good question as there are too many answers

but as most people will only know about 5 , it stays in

The car question needed  the word "New" adding ,as old vintage cars would be valuable as well

So its re-worded A new car costing over £200,000

A Luton MP had to resign over expenses, So I guessed one or two blondes may have heard of her

If I changed the band members to The Beatles and Rolling Stones, would that be easier

Just let me know

The side of my nest is always open ( It really is )

I'd bin 3, modify 9 for those who know nothing about cars, change 11 to two bands that people definitely know members of, and remove 'favourite' from 12. 1 is touch and go although I guess most can name the famous one, and if they can't, I suppose they can use their pass.

3 and 6 are still horrible questions

wouldn't expect many people to know any answers

I don't for 3, and know 2 (1 for sure, I a guess) for 6
