Title: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 10:16:05 AM :hello: Holla
Play is due to commence at 2pm. Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: Horneris on January 18, 2007, 11:13:35 AM Holla.
Any Blondeites involved today? Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: Djinn on January 18, 2007, 11:13:55 AM That's 1pm GMT. Set your schedule accordingly. Yesterday I didn't set my clock on Denmark time and got up at five to two.
Pre-start today food must be found. Like so many hotels, even the luxury Radisson falls entirely short when it comes to feeding poker players during the hours they keep. We finished 'early' last night, and still room service was closed, the restaurants similarly closed and the bar had stopped serving anything but crisps. You'd think when a horde of nocturnal gamblers descend on a place, they'd make some effort to accommodate them... Anyway, I feel nauseous, so it's something fried for me. See you at 2pm. Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: taximan007 on January 18, 2007, 11:41:38 AM Good Luck to all involved today.
Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 12:57:25 PM Howdy do. We're back again for a virtual repeat of yesterday (with different players of course), but it should be fun! Plenty more Brits this time round, but we'll be sure to keep an eye on the Scanidies too.
Player list on the way. Be petient though, they don't call me 'one finger' snoopy for nothing. ;snoopy; Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 01:01:57 PM Table 1:

Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: Djinn on January 18, 2007, 01:31:13 PM We reckon the following table will be attracting the cameras early on...I have to say I am a little surprised at the presence of old-school 'US Greats' like TJ Cloutier and Tom McEvoy coming all the way across the pond for an EPT event - this is the first one I've seen them at, although I could be mistaken.
(1) Marcel Luske (2) TJ Cloutier (3) Mirko Schiavo (4) Tommy Olsen (5) Peter Hardgrove Hansen (6) Juha Helppi (7) Frode Samuelsen (8) Kim Berntsen Vevle (9) Alexander Stevic (10) Martin El-Kher Cook Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: Djinn on January 18, 2007, 01:55:35 PM So, having taken some notes on players before they start seat-changing, I can say that unfortunately, Taximan, Kevin O'Connell's not had a good start. Down to just 3,600 right when we got in the room...I don't think I would like someone asking about that while I was at the table, so I'll wait and pounce in the break.
Also, incredibly famous Patrick Bruel, who seems to go everywhere followed by hordes of TV cameras, has taken an early (possibly fatal) knock at the hands of slowplaying Robert Norberg. On a board of Qs Ts 4h 2c Patrick bet out 5k, and found Robert pushing in for 3,200 more - but only after some consideration. It turned out that he had that generally-unlayable-down second set: Th Tc, while M. Bruel had just Ahrt Qh and asked, "how can you wait so long..." plainly not convinced that his opponent was ever going to pass. Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 01:56:06 PM Still early days, but a big hand has already caused a slight stir.
Board = 7d Kd Qd 6d 9d Mark Secher Petersen = 8d 5d Allan Aspholm = Ad Aspades Mark bet 1k, Roy Brindley (who was also in the hand) folded, Allan made it 3k, Mark moved all-in and Allan called. As a result, Mark Secher Petersen is one of the early chip leaders. Quick question, can the nut flush be folded to the all-in? Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: Djinn on January 18, 2007, 02:08:31 PM Holla. Any Blondeites involved today? We have a couple of Kerrigans, Kevin O'Connell, Sverre Sundbo, John Kabbaj, Martin Green, John Conroy, Dan Smith, Roy Brindley and John Shipley, and some others... Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 02:21:20 PM Not witnessed too many huge hands so far, just a few small ones here there.
John Kabbaj is getting involved early doors though. His 1.7k bet into a pot of 3.5k (reasonably chunky for level 1) with a board of 8h 7c 5c Js Aspades resulted in his Scandinavian opponent, Henri Casper, dwelling up for a pretty long time before eventually folding. Meanwhile, Iwan Jones is also about, but not yet making his presence known. His table is full of unknowns, one of whom is Gert Anderson who just won a nice pot just before I departed the room. Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: LLevan on January 18, 2007, 02:23:11 PM Updates on both Jeff Jaffacake Kimber and John Punkfloyd Conroy would be appreciated where possible Jen and Snoops.
Without wishing to bok him I believe Jeff is due to finally win 1 of these big events. Good luck to all the blondes playing today. Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: action man on January 18, 2007, 02:24:39 PM Still early days, but a big hand has already caused a slight stir. As a result, Mark Secher Petersen is one of the early chip leaders. Quick question, can the nut flush be folded to the all-in? yes its gotta be a fold, only 3k down, and what can mark be pushing with in this spot thats not Td Jd or 5d 8d?? Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 02:28:20 PM Found Jeff Kimber, donning a PokerStars top that EVERYONE seems to wearing (makes identification a lot more difficult, I can tell you).
Jaffacake's just an onlooker at the moment, but his opponents seem to be getting busy early on. One of them is the charismatic Jeppe Juhl, who just folded to a 4k bet from neighbour Ghassen Yafaoui (Who looks spookily like Super Mario). The board read 8c 6c 8h Qd Tc, and Ghassen shows Pocket Eights for Quads. "Wow," comments Jeppe Juhl, "If an Ace hits on the end, you've got me." Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: T8MML on January 18, 2007, 02:29:53 PM Come on Jaffa and Iwan - show those scandi's what real flair play is all about!!!
Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: Djinn on January 18, 2007, 02:30:00 PM Action Shot! Here's a tense moment, despite the small pot currently underway, which attracted the cameras, and me...Marcel Luske (foreground) and Juha Helppi, resplendent in shades giving each other the staredown. Remind me of when cats sit facing each other twitching their tails before one of them suddenly backs down for no apparent reason.

Without wishing to bok him I believe Jeff is due to finally win 1 of these big events. Good luck to all the blondes playing today. Here's John Conroy, who always looks as relaxed as can be - next to him you can just make out the distinctive hair of Daniel Smits Bertelsen. Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: action man on January 18, 2007, 02:34:25 PM hope this doesnt turn into one of those ept's where we don't know any of the finalists, lets have someone to cheer on this time.
Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 02:36:53 PM Time for a couple of wide shots of the playing area, the first hosted by Italy's Luca Pagano, who claims that Italian poker has really kicked off of late. In fact, he recently directed a tournament in his home country that attracted hundreds of Italians from across the nation.
Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: Djinn on January 18, 2007, 02:38:30 PM Would like som updates on Simon Gustav Persson sitting on table 3. Is this your guy? He's on the same table as London player Simon Mycock and Karin Lundgren, both also pictured. No sign of Katja Thater, who was meant to be on that table - early elimination? Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: Djinn on January 18, 2007, 02:39:18 PM Anyway, if this is Simon Persson, he's got 10,650. Still only level two - 50/100...
Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 02:44:56 PM We're 30 minutes into Level 2 with the blinds still at 50 and 100.
194 left, so not toom many exits thus far. the average stack is currently at 10,309. Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 02:49:08 PM Passing through the tables, I caught an all-in on Table 2.
The board read 2d 2h 3c, and Gerald Lemke was all-in with Pocket Bullets versus the 6h 3h of Erik Koskas. The turn brought a menacing 7h, but the flush never came into fruition as the 8c hit the felt for the River. As a result, Lemke has doubled up to around the 6k mark. Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 02:53:42 PM Please wish Iwan jones and Jaffacake GL please. Will do Jack. Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: background on January 18, 2007, 02:56:07 PM If you got any updates on Kim Vevle (Asian looking guy) on table 9, seat 8 I would really appreciate it
Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 02:58:06 PM action man you wondered why"slade" had a will hill shirt on, they put him into the tournement for getting to the last ept final table.
Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: Djinn on January 18, 2007, 02:58:39 PM Chip counts from table Dan Smith, who after his erratic but very watchable performance in Dublin could be one to keep an eye on chipwise over here...
Table 15: (1) John Baarstrom 11,725 (2) Tom McEvoy 4,700 (3) Henrik Engsig 9,525 (4) Dan Smith 8,200 (5) Kent Ballegaard 10,700 (6) Age Spets 6,125 (7) Lotte Kalland 9,800 (8) Thomas Blomberg 10,600 (9) Peter Asterfeldt 12,100 (10) Donny Morris 9,800 Not a whole bunch separating this lot, but elsewhere the chips are more unbalanced. A sample: Birgitta Johansson 15,300 John Kabbaj 11,400 Per Ummer 1,000 Ingemar Backmann 8,325 Jim Kerrigan 9,800 Gunnar Ostebrod 13,600 Iwan Jones 16,000 Also saw Les Kerrigan wandering behind the ropes, keeping an eye on brothers, having turned his player badge backwards and pinned it on his sweater like a press pass. I salute your ingenuity, sir - done the same thing many a time in the early days. Now, just a matter of roping him in to doing some updating... Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: Djinn on January 18, 2007, 03:06:24 PM Believe it or not, this is Rob Hollink. Neighbour Ghassan El-Hoss is giving him a look charged with suspicion...or maybe he just doesn't like his hat.
Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 03:07:39 PM Jeff Kimber's rocking and rolling now (Although still close to his starting stack).
Raising pre-flop to 350, Jaffacake found one caller in Seat 7's Ole Andersen. Flop = 9h 7d Qc Ole checks, Jeff bets 425 and Ole calls. Turn = 5c Both men check. River = 3d Ole checks, Jeff bets 800 and Ole calls. Jeff shows Kd Qd, and Ole mucks, although he took his time which is always annoying. Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 03:11:03 PM This little rascal is a certain Swede called Erik Friberg, who perfomed magnificently in the most recent World Series to finish a highly respectable 8th (I think) for around 2 million in spondoolies. Not bad for a day (well, week) at the office.
Erik is currently on 11,750 in this event and has just had everyone fold round to his big blind, only for the Swede to reveal the American Airlines. :tikay: Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 03:11:51 PM Jeff Kimber's rocking and rolling now (Although still close to his starting stack). Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: Djinn on January 18, 2007, 03:14:37 PM Nick Slade can't tear himself away from the casino (to be fair it's a bit miserable outside) and brings the story of Iwan's chip gain hand...
There's a raise preflop, a Norwegian in the middle calls, Iwan calls with 7-8... Flop: 6-8-9 "The Yank bets 1,200, the Norwegian folds, Iwan makes it 3,600, The Sherman Tank goes all-in, leaving Iwan less than 3k to call...he was up against Kings." Turn: 9 River 8 Meanwhile, Patrick Bruel is OUT, while Kevin O'Connell is back to 9,000 somehow. Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 03:15:05 PM Gunnar Ostebrod is one to watch out for. Some of you may recall his success in the Baden EPT 18 months ago when he won €120k for his runner-up spot. That's not the end of his good form though, as he also triumphed in the Swedish Championship just a few months ago. Certainly a dangerman in any comp.

Table 14 (1) Steven Heard 10,250 (2) Jeff Kimber 5,125 (3) Mikael Gibbermark OUT/moved (4) Tobias Christensen 11,500 (5) Jeppe Juhl 11,000 (6) Ghassen Yafaoui 12,100 (7) Ole Andersen 8,100 (8) Henric Carlsson 7,425 (9) Hilmar Tveit 10,600 (10) Janno Andersen 12,000 Just saw a hand here when Jeppe Juhl pushed in on a 3c 6d Qc flop, against preflop caller (of his raise, oddly, I think) Ghassen Yafaoui. He got the call for his 4k or so, showing 8c 6c. Ghassen showed Ts Th, and was told, "I am the favourite," by his opponent. Turn: Ac River: I don't even think it was dealt (which is very strange practise indeed). The board read 7d 9s Kh, and I joined it as the chap pictured below (can anyone name him?) was making a 2k bet. Cue first think tank session. Soren Andersen, across the other end of the table, then decides to make it 4k. Cue second think tank session. Turn = 8d Cue third think tank session. Mateyboy checks. Cue fourth think tank session. Andersen moves all-in for around 5k. Cue fifth think tank session. Mateyboy eventually makes a somewhat reluctant, but ultimately justified call with Ad Kd, to be greeted by Andersen's Ks 6s. 9c on the River and we're a scandie down. Sure was a lot of thinking though, Andersen even dwelt before leaving his seat. Meanwhile, just across the table, is WSOP 2006 finalist, Erik Friberg, struggling with just 6,400 in chips. Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 05:49:07 PM Jim Kerrigan is not a happy chappy for the following reason...
Board = 7c 4h 9s 5s 7k pot Both players check. River = Kh Lasse Laursen moves all-in for 6,925 "Will you show if I call?" ask Kerrigan. "Hmm, mumble, mumble, mumble" (I couldn't make out the response) After an relatively lenghty dwell, Jim decides to pass, only for his opponent to slam (in a nicey nicey way) Ts 8s Ouch, The Hit Squad takes a Hit and Kerrigan is down to 6,175 as a result. Because there are so many floors, the lift is always stopping and starting. On one floor we stopped, the doors opened, and acorss the hallway was an open door which led to Marcel Luske sitting down having his haircut. On hearing the door open, Marcel turned to look at us. Silence struck before the doors shut and we continued hurlting down. For some reason though, it was highly surreal. It reminded me of two films - first something from the Truman Show, as if I had just stumbled on actors in my life being prepared, and secondly, but rather more creepily, that rabbit costume scene in The Shining where the bunny suddenly turns to look at the voyeur. In fact, it was just like that but without the rabbit costume and the haircut process instead of er... the other stuff.
Very odd! Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: action man on January 18, 2007, 06:23:22 PM Yesterday I was in the lift when I encountered a rather surreal moment. Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 06:41:57 PM Well, it seems as if plenty of Red Bull was consumed during the break because they've all gone antsy in their pantsy, the most notable exit being that of Marcel Luske who found himself in dyer need of a miracle as he moved all-in with Tc 6c on a 2c Js 3c Flop.
What he didn't want to see recent addition to the table, William Thorsson, turn over, was a rather intimidating Ac Jc, which duly held up, even though the Turn brought a scary 6s. As a result of that hand, Thorsson has shot up to 26k. Damn that cameraman sabotaging my photo! ;grr; Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 06:45:43 PM The man (or boy) truly transforming into the Scandinator, however, is a young fellow pictured earlier, Bastion Landehagen.
Before eliminating Alan Tornager with Kd 7d versus Qs Ts on an 8h Tc Ks Flop (Turn 9h, River Ad), the little rascal then went on to remove another opponent from the table, his A-K being no match for Mateyboy's A-T on a King high board. Consequently, Landehagen is now quite possibly the new chip leader with just over 50 big ones. Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: Djinn on January 18, 2007, 06:51:55 PM Roy Brindley News Now:
Short stacked, he raised to 1,200 preflop (blinds now 150/300), and his immediate neighbour made it 2,400. Suspicious? Considering he was even shorter than Roy (5kish), perhaps... Anyway, flop: Td Th 4s Roy checks, Matey bets 2k. Call. Turn: 6h Now The Boy just pushes in his last 3k, and gets a call from the Aspades Ahrt. Roy shows 8d 8c River: 8h Squeak. A pat on the back from the eliminator to the exiter, but that can't have reduced the bite of that one. As a result, she is now down to 7k after failing to win what was, ultimately, a pretty chunky pot indeed. Ace high Flop, Andersen called all-in wtih Pocket Jacks, saying "I've had a great time, but it's time to move", only to watch in dismay as his opponent reveals A-K.
Soon after, however, Ghassa handed some over to his neighbour when his A-Q was outdrawn by Q-9 all-in pre-flop, a 9 coming out second card. A triple raise preflop, getting the majority of Thorson's stack in the middle, and quite a bit of John Shipley's, and the rest going in on the Jack-high flop. The lastest is when he and Iwan Jones were in America, and the announcer of the tournament kept calling out for a EYE-WAN JONES. "EYE-WAN JONES, IS THERE AN EYE-WAN JONES IN THE ROOM?!" :D Reminds me in a round about way when Paul Jackson was told off for not speaking English at the table, even though he was. rotflmfao To Iwan Jones' wife, you've misunderstood this one. Nick and I are not taking the michael out of Iwan Jones' eyes. EYE-WAN was just my way of translating the American accent and the way in which they said 'I' instead of 'You' for the first letter in his name. Not easy in writing, perhaps I-WAN or AYE-WAN would have worked better. Maybe we need a poll. Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 09:10:46 PM I was going to compare that TJ Cloutier photo with a picture of a bulldog chewing a wasp.
Browsing through google images, this is the first one that crops up when you type in 'bulldog chewing a wasp.' You have to laugh. :D (http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/news/archives/PrescottBLOG.jpg) Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: taximan007 on January 18, 2007, 09:15:08 PM 5am? I assumed he was out and did the ol' cut throat gesture, to which he replied...
"No, I'm still in, was down to 3k, back up to 40k, now down to 32k. Not a bad spin up." Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: Djinn on January 18, 2007, 09:18:54 PM Londoner Simon Mycock was well on for the Climber of the Day prize, having built 2k back to 20k, until he found the short stack next to him pushing in preflop in late position for 5k. He re-raised all-in with Ac Qs, and found 7h 8h against him...unfortunately for him, the short stack hit 4-6-x on the flop, and rivered the gutshot 5 (for the most dramatic way of winning that hand, although there were others possible), and he's taken a slight knock as a result. BA says to get Simon's attention you just shout, "Guv!" anywhere in the room and he looks up.
The same hand (Ac Qh this time) was chucked away by Martin Wendt when he'd raised preflop and found Brian Hansen all-in over the top from the blinds for another 5k. Some chip counts: TJ Cloutier 26,000 John Kabbaj 9,000 Jim Kerrigan 12,325 Kevin O'Connell 11,000 (these top four now share a table) Martin Wendt 16,000 Brian Hansen 12,000 Tom McEvoy 8,750 Tyrone Kerrigan 27,000 Simon Persson 21,000 Mikael Lundell 12,000 Vivi Saethren OUT Andreas Hagen 18,000 Bastion Landehagen 52,000 Roy Brindley 18,600 Nil Paulsen 19,000 Jan Sjavik 15,100 Halldor Sverrisson 26,000 James Campbell 24,200 Magnus Petersson 45,000 Jeff Kimber 2,575 Jeppe Juhl 11,200 Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: T8MML on January 18, 2007, 09:20:02 PM 5am? Apparantly it's Paul Linton of London who qualified online with Ladbrokes. He's on 19,200 at the moment after winning a pot with A-Q on an Ace high Flop. If anyone can shed any more light on him, then please feel free to post us your pearls of wisdom. for nerds and lazy arses I did a quick google. Paul plays at big slick. Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 09:25:57 PM A few players are starting to climb and challenge the chip leaders, 3 of which are:
Atle Walgren -- 49,100 Ben Johnson -- 42,200 Erlend Melsom -- 49,050 Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 09:30:39 PM Gitte Andersen has pretty much doubled up courtesy of her pink-hatted neighbour.
10k pot and the board read 7h 2s Ts 3h 2d Gitte checked, only for Mateyboy to bet 5k, leaving just 1.8k behind. Gitte gave him the fiercest of stares, getting right close up to his face. Mateyboy looked unmoved, but Gitte eventually made the correct call with her Qh Ts. Her opponent tapped the table out of appreciation (always a nice gesture) and revealed his inferior Pocket Snowmen. Clearly delighted and relieved at the same time (she only had 2.5k left if she was wrong), Gitte released a yelp of delight followed by a deep exhale of relief. Say hi to your good lady from me, Oh and Hazel as well hehe Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 09:43:00 PM John Conroy is on 25,050.
His next door neighbour, Thomas Holm, however, is now one of the chip leaders with just over 60k. Everyone folded round to Scandieboy and Holm in the blinds. Scandieboy raised to 1,200, Holm made it 2,600, Scandieboy called and the two players saw a Flop... 4h 5h 6s Scandieboy checks, Holm bets 4,200, Scandieboy makes it 10,000 and Holm calls. Turn = 8c Scandieboy moves all-in for his last 12,000 and Holm calls. Scandieboy = Qc 9d Holm = 7h 4s R = Tc "Hell of a hand," commented John Conroy. Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: Djinn on January 18, 2007, 09:56:35 PM Tyrone Kerrigan more than halves his stack to Martin Wendt:
He limped for 600 in mid position, and small blind Martin checked. Flop: Ad 2c 6d Martin bet out 1,000; call. Turn: 3h Martin bet out 3,000; call. River: Ks Martin bet 6,500. Pause; call. Martin's 3d 3s set was good... Elsewhere, Brian Hansen is OUT after his Ks Kd was outflopped (all-in pre) by J-J, which housed up by the river. And Janne Overa doubles up to 25k, after moving all-in over a preflop raiser (to less than 2k) who called her Jd Js with his 7d 7h, and despite calling for his cards - and more vehemently on the turn when it read 6h 8s 6s 9s - "Five! Ten! No spades!" she won the pot. Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 09:57:02 PM Jim 'The Grinder' Kerrigan is currently on 10,500 (500 in 9 hours is progress I suppose), whilst Welshman Iwan Jones is still running well with 37,350.
Unfortunately, fellow British player Kevin O'Connell has bitten the dust - his pre-flop raise with Queens (button) raised all-in by TJ CLoutier's A-9 in the big blind (about 9k total), only for the Turn to bring an Ace. Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: Djinn on January 18, 2007, 09:57:57 PM Blinds now 300/600 ante 75. 87 players still in, with half an hour left until the end of play for today.

Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 10:23:11 PM LOTS of action in these last few minutes, including two big chippers calshing head on, both of whom are pictured below.
Board = 2s 2d Qc Jc Erlend Melsom bets 5.5k, Thomas raises 14,500, Erlund moves all-in and Thomas folds. These guys are maniacs! Holm (bottom) down to 53,500. Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 10:24:05 PM Ben Johnson -- 38,300

Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 10:28:22 PM Simon Mycock was down to 2k with 8c 8d vs Kd Ks on a board of 7c 2c Js Kc, that was until the 2c River raked him a bot of 33k. Boy, was his opponent not best pleased.
Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 10:30:20 PM Morten Lund Jensen's previously vast stack of chips has just been partially depleted by Jan Sjavik who won a Kings versus Queens all-in pre-flop battle.
Sjavic now up to 64,500. Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 1B - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on January 18, 2007, 10:32:48 PM Meanwhile, John Shipley is still flying the British flag with 25,450, and, of course, adopting the familiar Shipley pose.
