Title: WSOP 2007 Post by: snoopy1239 on June 03, 2007, 05:40:49 PM Hi, folks, just a quick note to inform you that blonde poker will be keeping you all up to date on this year's World Series of Poker with full results as and when we receive them.
To view the full schedule, simply click the link below. http://www.blondepoker.com/index.php?q=node/10122 (http://www.blondepoker.com/index.php?q=node/10122) Note by the bold type that one result (Event #2) has already come through. To view these results, all you have to do is click the link and Bob's your uncle. Of course, many other sites will be giving you the full results of this year's Series, so to add something a little different, I shall be highlighting all the Brits and blondeites, not to mention the 'name' players. Hopefully then you won't have to scour through the endless list of random Mateyboys. To access the schedule from the homepage (http://www.blondepoker.com (http://www.blondepoker.com)), simply click the text link entitled 'WSOP results' on the right hand side of the screen underneath the heading 'Tournament Trail'. The page is also availble via the forum by selecting 'live circuit' in the menu bar at the top of this page. Cheers, snoops Title: Re: WSOP 2007 Post by: booder on June 03, 2007, 05:52:01 PM ;thankyou; ;thankyou;

Why would they go with this one? Title: Re: WSOP 2007 Post by: Woodsey on June 04, 2007, 04:43:35 PM Does it strike anyone else as strange to start off the World Series with a Limit/No Limit Round of Each $5,000 Freezeout? Why would they go with this one? Dunno, but if I had the cash I would fancy a go at that one, There would be lots of weak limit players there who play mostly No limit. Title: Re: WSOP 2007 Post by: AndrewT on June 04, 2007, 04:54:17 PM Does it strike anyone else as strange to start off the World Series with a Limit/No Limit Round of Each $5,000 Freezeout? Why would they go with this one? Big buy-in = lots of name players and fewer mateyboys. Limit/NL = Any NL mateyboys that do take part get undone by the pros in the limit rounds. Result = Big name player takes first bracelet and provides big story to kick things off, meaning the WSOP won't start off with the focus being badly designed cards/huge registration lines/crappy air con. Foolproof!! They'd rather have a name field, I think. The mateyboys can wait. Maybe they wanted a smaller field in case of problems - easier to handle 400 players than 3,000. FAO Snoopy, Jen, Floopy Tikay etc... You can probably check with Pauly on this one - as i'm guessing he's helping pokernews out?? - but I was reading a post on P5s earlier from one of their live updaters and it says: "Bluff/Pokernews.com bought the rights for the live coverage of the WSOP from Harrah's. Under their guidelines, we're allowed to do hourly blogs but no hand for hand coverage or take photos after there are less than 15 tables left.. etc. etc.." ----------------------------------------- No whilst the 15 table rule is the same as last year, if hourly blogs are all that are allowed... I'm not sure if this applies to all media and how it affects blonde's live coverage, but thought i'd throw it out there. Title: Re: WSOP 2007 Post by: easypickings on June 06, 2007, 07:39:46 PM The new playing cards were indeed shocking. It was genuinely difficult to tell between a 9 and a 6 (look just at the corner, and you will see), and to tell between the suits on the board. Really quite worrying that with a year to plan, the commitee managed to come up with a playing card that people couldn't see.
Anyway, they lasted just 90 minutes in event one, before the number of complaints brought the proper ones back. Watch out for the $5k Omaha event today. In an amazingly star-studded field, Devilfish held the chip lead just before the end last night; England's first braceelet could be on the way. This post has always worried me... Quote Accounts and descriptions are content and can be under copyright. Facts are fact and can not be copyrighted. This precedent was set by the US Court of Appeals in the NBA vs. SportsTrax case. Descriptions of the event = content = illegal to copy Chip counts = facts = anyone can post it anywhere If Tony G thinks he is being stolen from, my guess is that someone sold him something that they didn't have the right to sell. Are chip counts actually facts though if mistakes are certain (as is human nature at a comp of this size) to be made? Title: Re: WSOP 2007 Post by: dino1980 on June 11, 2007, 04:45:36 PM I paid the $49.95 for WSOP video coverage and managed to watch the $1500 SH final in the small hours of Saturday night/Sunday morning and have to say it's well worth it, even more so when you consider they'll do the same for WSOPE and you get Brian Wilson's commentary, some of the stuff he was saying about Humberto had me in stiches.
Anyway tonight they've got video coverage of Hellmuth's final table which has got to be worth the $49.95 alone, if he wins great to watch, if he loses he falls off his chair. Title: Re: WSOP 2007 Post by: snoopy1239 on June 11, 2007, 05:08:47 PM What do you get for your $49.95?
Title: Re: WSOP 2007 Post by: dino1980 on June 11, 2007, 05:31:45 PM What do you get for your $49.95? You get access to live audio and video coverage of various poker events at the WSOP, WSOPE and WSOP circuit for 12 months and a free subscripton to Bluff magazine. But it's the first two we're really interested in right? If you click on the WSOP live drop down bar on the home page of the official site you'll see a broadcast schedule of which events have live audio and which have live (hour delay) video coverage. The schedule is a little tricky to read as they've used similar colours. But... highlights of video coverage incl: the $1500 tonight, the $5000 NLHE on the 15th June and the $5,000 NLLHE six handed on the 30th June. You'll also get real time audio coverage on the $5,000 HU bracelet the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E and the Main event - although I know you could get live streaming of that last year. I know you'll be out in Vegas for some of those but still I think £25 is a great deal for all you get. She was down to the felt and all in, but a series of great hands in quick succession boosted her right back up. After a hand in which she busted out 2 players in one go she gave a little victory dance - some might see this as a bit mean on the players she'd just knocked out, but I thought it was good entertainment and I must admit I was rooting for her to win from that point (even though I hadn't even been knocked out by then). Entertainment value - immense, definitely a great win. Title: Re: WSOP 2007 Post by: snoopy1239 on June 22, 2007, 05:53:40 AM Apologies for the brief delay, I have been in transit.

With 241 players it was the highest attendance of any of the events in the festival so far. Going into the final Mickey was chip leader and stayed there for much of the final until a deal was done three handed. Mickey took the most (over $80,000) in the chop, but officially finsihed 3rd. They carried on playing for the $25,000 WPT Championship seat, but the complexion of the game changed dramatically after the deal and became a bit of an all in fest. Needless to say, Mickey was delighted, as were the cohorts of fans that cheered him on from the rail. After picking up his winnings, Mickey jokingly asked them to form three separate queues - One for those who had percentages of him in the event, another for people he owed money to and a third for those who were merely after a handout. After the wedge had been distributed they all set off to paint the town red. I feel sorry for the town. ;)
Is he a worm or a legend? No contest. Title: Re: WSOP 2007 Post by: RED-DOG on July 04, 2007, 12:50:37 PM After picking up his winnings, Mickey jokingly asked them to form three separate queues - One for those who had percentages of him in the event, another for people he owed money to and a third for those who were merely after a handout
He's a legend! BTW- that's a first class piece of reportage there JR. Title: Re: WSOP 2007 Post by: The_nun on July 04, 2007, 12:55:40 PM Nice one Mickey..xx

Title: Re: WSOP 2007 Post by: topbanana on July 04, 2007, 01:23:18 PM Am I the only one who would rather play St Kitts than Vegas ? I know it's the biggest event but that much poker with very little chance of cashing would drive me nuts!
Maybe I aint cut out to be a pro ! Title: Re: WSOP 2007 Post by: Tragic on July 04, 2007, 04:04:33 PM No no, I'd rather play in St. Kitts too, largely based around the fact it would be illegal for me to play in Vegas for 10 more months. But sitting in the sun by a pool for a week with the occassional poker distraction sounds like an ideal life.

Was just wondering if anybody knew how you can get TV coverage of the main event in UK?
Last year there was a highlights show on every night on Challenge TV however it doesnt seem to be on this year. The highlights show doesn't get shown for a few months - I think it normally starts around October time, although it airs in the US much quicker than this. I think there are live feeds available over the net for a subscription if you want live coverage, but the ESPN series won't be around for a while yet. Title: Re: WSOP 2007 Post by: Mango99 on July 08, 2007, 07:20:46 PM Good old Barry!! Top bloke! :)
I am gutted to be back in Bristol now, wanted to play the main, but I felt (last minute) that I may as well set fire to $10,000 instead... ~ So, I decided to come home, and in profit (including all flights, accomodation, entertainment, poker, and ipod purchase). Yahoooo!! That was mainly thanks to Barry - who I swapped a 20% in before the Bellagio game, and was good for $8,000 :) Get in!! I also chopped a $1,000 STT the morning that I left, and had a 50% share in David Tighe (who I played Late Night Poker Ace with) for another $1,250 (he chopped a $500 satellite). Good luck to all the blondes still there, and hopefully I'll bump into some of you at the Newcastle GUKPT! Title: Re: WSOP 2007 Post by: snoopy1239 on July 15, 2007, 10:17:12 PM Day 6:
