For some reason, it's suddenly become less cool.

Mickey Wernick has chopped the $1,500 at the Bellagio Cup. With 241 players it was the highest attendance of any of the events in the festival so far. Going into the final Mickey was chip leader and stayed there for much of the final until a deal was done three handed. Mickey took the most (over $80,000) in the chop, but officially finsihed 3rd. They carried on playing for the $25,000 WPT Championship seat, but the complexion of the game changed dramatically after the deal and became a bit of an all in fest. Needless to say, Mickey was delighted, as were the cohorts of fans that cheered him on from the rail. After picking up his winnings, Mickey jokingly asked them to form three separate queues - One for those who had percentages of him in the event, another for people he owed money to and a third for those who were merely after a handout. After the wedge had been distributed they all set off to paint the town red. I feel sorry for the town. Is he a worm or a legend? No contest.

He's a legend!
BTW- that's a first class piece of reportage there JR.

Am I the only one who would rather play St Kitts than Vegas ? I know it's the biggest event but that much poker with very little chance of cashing would drive me nuts!
Maybe I aint cut out to be a pro !

No no, I'd rather play in St. Kitts too, largely based around the fact it would be illegal for me to play in Vegas for 10 more months. But sitting in the sun by a pool for a week with the occassional poker distraction sounds like an ideal life.
