Congrats to Karl 'Dry em' Mahrenholz on his 25th place in Event 38's $1,500 donkament for a shade under $22K.

Jeff 'Jaffacake' Kimber also came around 25th for 19k.

In the meantime, the $2,000 Pot Limit Hold'Em Event was drawing to a conclusion...

I caught Barry Neville yesterday in the Rio, but he wasn't playing. He seems to be focusing his attention on the deep stacked Venetian comps instead, although I'm sure he'll start playing a WSOP one soon. The potential sparkle of a bracelet will be too much for the big man to resist.

Well done to both Bjorin and Goodhall who both made the final table. Anyone have any info on these two players?

According to his HM database entry this was Chris Bjorin's 17th WSOP final table!! Plus a further three final table bubbles. He has two bracelets.

I believe Chris Bjorin, a Swede, lived in London for many years, but now lives in Washington DC, where his wife is a senior Swedish Diplomat. He's old school, & I believe Karabiner knows him quite well.

Well done to Mickey Wernick, who finished 36th out of over 1800 runners in the $1,000 Seniors No Limit Hold'em Event 41. He went outwith AK v AQ, all in prefop. A Queen flopped.

I would be disqualified - under age.

The guy - Geoiffrey Hill - in 97th - I'm wondering if that's Junior's Dads, Geoff Hill, from Mansfield. He's very old.
