Tonight I shall mostly be ruining an Indian ... going to try chicken tikka !

Tonight i will be stuffing myself with a plate of fried onions and bacon.

I am cooking a big juicy steak from our local farm shop. It never fails to melt in your mouth from there, although from other places I have not had much success in keeping them tender. They also do the most fantastic steak pie Kev.

I'll be doing a midweek roast wont be that stunning as it is midweek and not a sunday,prob just chicken,raosties,yorkies some veg and stufing ftw

Think i'll do another curry. My usual array of random stuff, but with an emphasis on paprika, peppers and chilis I think.

Cooking for a lady tonight, will be pasta - chicken in a home-made tomato sauce (tomatoes, onion, garlic, saffron, chillis...).  Which reminds me, I need to check I've got some parmesan....

i have got a crib league game tonight so it will be 12 pints of uncle arthurs and a few chasers then buffet food and maybe a kebab or pizza if i can be bothered or can see straight

I cheated coz Sainsbury's had ready-made stew and dumplings as part of their meal for a fiver package. Saving the mash I got to have with sausages tomorrow and sticky toffee pudding later :)up

I have sticky toffee pudding too .... no room at the mo, just munched the curry ... had to do 2, Korma for Jane, Tikka massala for me ... curry sauces ftw imo.

Had great intentions of joining ye today, but was up with the sickly 12 year old all of last night and most of today.  We've only just woke from a nap, so chipper FTW.  

Kin is making a boring dish tonight.  Sigh.  Good thing the Chicka already likes him or this would be a deal breaker for sure!  The rest of you will have no trouble crushing his attempts.

Tonight's effort is another curry. Rather than take a pic of all the ingredients i've split it up a little bit.

First off, here is the contents of what's going to make the sauce:

Cumin
Turmeric
Paprika
Coriander
Tandoori masala
Cloves
Caraway seed
Cardamon
Garlic
Ginger
Red chili
Green chili

First thing again was to put the tomatoes in some boiling water and get them reduced. Nothing exciting here:

After these have been going for about 20 minutes I add the contents of the above plate. I also add:

Worcester sauce
Balsamic vinegar
Salt
Pepper
Sugar
2 lemons

Whilst this is simmering I stir fry 3 peppers and an onion. Once these are done they're thrown into the sauce. Then the chicken.

Seeing CF's excellent attempt I give up.

Just served it with the usual, Home made chips, Garlic Mushrooms done in the oven in butter, Onion rings peas, tomato and Bernaise sauce.

I propose that next week Nana has to cook something that isnt a curry or a stir fry, for a challenge.

I cooked Salmon Fillets in a honey and ginger glaze, served with mix veg and brown rice.
(Homemade too)

Madame SF is made a Quiche Lorraine, is nice with wine and no work for demain. Merci for winning this war so Spacefrog can go to nice restaurant this day, I think of those who hwlp us Frogs.  

And here's the rest of it.

First up the rice. Made with onions, turmeric, paprika, and orange. I fried the onion and spices in a frying pan with some oil. Then add the rice and orange juice. Mix all up, add water, and fry for 15 minutes with the lid on.

Once that's done I add some fresh coriander to it and leave to stand for 5 minutes. I also add coriander to the curry.

To be fair, deffo Kev's best effort by a country mile.  

Cf's are impressive from start to finish but basically the same thing every week - and starting to get a bit boring.  You can cook a mean curry...we get it.  Now try something new.
 
Cia's chicken looks like it was sliced by a chain saw.  Gravy is a bit watery and wtf is that veg mix?!    

Don't know about judging for this week.  It's going to be close.  Pity Mo didn't post her pics as I reckon she would have walked it.

in my defence electric knife has gone travelling so had to use what i had in drawer,veg mix was all there was in freezer as greengrocer was shut after work,

Next time I cook a proper meal, I will post it up, this was an average not thought about tea, hence the lack of ingredients to produce a far higher standard. If I am doing a proper steak it has to be T Bone for me, sealed on the outer, just like this rump, but very tender on the in. Daz is always saying  I am a good cook, but then again my hearing is going. ;)

I say these things as a gift to you rosbif. Spacefrog work as a pâtissier in Michelin resto for long time, I go to chef school 3 years for this. Is my taste to help with some fun. Now I make work in Brussels and EU. My chef day is fini, this make me sad but is no good for my life. My passion and obbsessions is food, is easy and fun. Enjoy!

Don’t want to hear any more, and yes I did carve it with a blunt knife! If you dare tell them that I cooked that really yummy dinner that we both enjoyed, you are gonna be in trouble. Have no wish to hear about competition that I had no idea I was entering! You can cook from now on so I don’t get caught again.

I know it this is not cooked at home but if any of you are passing through Huddersfield and fancy a really good Caribbean meal, this place is the dog's. The owner did a tour with Rhodes, then he has come 2nd on Ramsey's The F word, to be screened in Nov.

Dunno if anyone else is tkaing part but i will post my effort in a bit. The chicken/steak is currently sat in the fridge marinading. Nothing fancy, just chili, garlic, cumin, turmeric and lemon. Should be nice tho :)

I had some plov which I bought from the shop and microwaved and a really nice sesame seed plaited loaf. I'm washing it down with a raspberry and pomegranate yogurt drink. no photos but I did take a photo of nana yesterday which I could post instead

i could post a pic of my pudding, which is a giant bag of munchies. they're not square like proper munchies should be, but more of a dome shape. Girgy would probs like them.
