There's a staking forum on here, where people ask for moneys to play poker, and new members need to make 300 posts before they are allowed to post there and qualify for staking.

When a new member comes along and makes lots of posts very quickly, there's always immediate suspicion that they are doing so to quickly rack up their post count and then ask for staking.

i guess that most people that play winning poker are not addicted and those that are degens normally give up on the game and return to blackjack/sports betting or whatever.  It is rare to find players that are v.good at the game but have no control what-so-ever.

Has anyone on here ever actually made anything significant from staking? All the ones that win big seem to grim.

The Blatch thing made me completely give up buying pieces, these days I reckon I would only stake people I know I could beat up, so pretty much just MC.

I don't think I have ever had a single return that was above a min cash, and very few of those. Have deffo done my nads with it..............

I made every time with TheTank helped that he kept buying my shares back just before going on huge downswings :)

Other than that not a penny and have stopped pretty much tbh as it seems to be just throwing away money normally.

I've done pretty well out of staking mainly from Simon Trumper. Up about 6k on him.

Doing ok on current horses as well. Although they're all obviously in MU I've actually cleared a profit out of all of them at some stage.

As for being staked myself I did really well when Blatch went busto cus I was about 6k in the hole.

Actually there is pretty much nothing that is more despicable than anti-semitism.  That along with other kinds of racial and relgious discrimination have led to the mass slaughtering of millions of people in the last century alone.  If you happen to have been done wrong by somebody that is Jewish is isn't in any way an excuse to suggest in a public forum that jews should die.

Ok I'll say this on the matter. Pretty simple facts.

- I was staking Dave to recoup money I'd lost when he did the blonde stake in (of which I had a piece). Back when I used to have faith in people I thought Dave was just a degen but a good player and that he intended to pay people back. Hopefully with profit he could pay the other stakers back.

- I have the exact figures of makeup on my facebook account. It was around $1300ish. I had told Dave that should he get out of makeup I would let him have a cash spin.

- I also told him numerous times that if he was to have a cash he should ship back the funds straight away unless it was a real bowl in which case he could use it if he felt like continuing his session and re-registering. We would often confirm via msn or text anyway.

- The occasional times I shipped Dave some money to play cash games it was never anything higher than $0.50/1. Dave knows I would never ever let him have a spin at $10/20 when I can't even remember the last time I played those limits myself.

- The morning after the cash Dave wasn't on msn. He didn't answer his phone. I called several times throughout the day. This left me riled and I left Dave a nasty message. I also posted on his public wall on facebook similar messages in the days following because he'd still made no attempt to contact me.

- It was around this time it broke on blonde. I have a big mouth, that surprises no-one round here and I was venting. Under the circumstances I don't think that's unfair.

- Dave is now using the way I handled the situation (see the irony?) as the reason he won't pay me.

- He has also mentioned this cash spin to several people as though it was some kind of cast iron plan. He knows full well I would have wanted all that money back in my account until makeup was cleared and I would have decided the terms and amounts of any possible cash spin. Once again, $10/20 is never something I would have accepted.

- Dave has not once apologised for his actions. He has severed points of contact with him by blocking or deleting me on msn and deleting me from his facebook account.

Glad i don't have to live by your moral code and try not to take everything written on the internet so literally.

This is a downright lie trying to appeal to the masses your Blonde stake was paid back last year i think you were the first to get paid back you pretty much insisted so, also 90% of that money has all been repaid a long time ago by myself and not through any staking help. Yeah i paid everyone that could take funds on stars when i had them, had you been able to receive funds on stars you could have been paid about a dozen times since. Just never had any significant funds of my own on full tilt. If you want to PM A/C no Sort Code and name i can do a bank transfer next time that's an option.

In fairness it's true I don't have a stars account so can't receive on there.

My personal problem is Hollyoaks.
Its tosh, absolute garbage. The writing is terrible. The acting is even worse. Some of the characters are so unbelievable and annoying I actually want to hunt them down in real life.

But i still get home and sit there and watch todays and then tommorows, then the day after the one ive already seen and the next days.

Mrs Red & I are taking my little van and buggering off around Europe for a few weeks. Nothing fancy, some nights in hotels or B&Bs (When we find cheap ones) other nights sleeping in the van. (It's not too bad, we have a double bed, a DVD player, plenty of books and some folding chairs for sitting in the sun when we stop for lunch)

We are sailing Dover to Bologne, then taking a steady drive to Berlin by whatever route takes our fancy. There are a few things I want to see in Berlin - Checkpoint Charlie, The remains of the wall, the Brandenburg gate, one or two galleries & museums etc.....

Then we're going to leave the van in Berlin and take the sleeper train to Krackow. We'll be staying there for a few days,  paying our respects at Auschwitz and visiting one or two other places, then, train back to Berlin and if there's time, I'd quite like to drive home via Switzerland / the Alps.

Pretty pedestrian stuff by most people's standards, but we'll enjoy it.

I was in Berlin last year, cant remember the name of it but there is an exhibition/museum we went to that I found fascinating. Lots and lots of history as you walk round the place, but the most interesting bit for me was the guided tour into one of the old bunkers. The young lady showing us round explained the percentage of Germany that would have a space in a bunker. It was pretty chilling to think that 90% of your neighbours would be banging on the door and you would probably die inside anyway.

They still had the videos showing people that if there was a nuclear explosion they should hide under a box and they would be fine! Lolz

Will try and find the name of the place. All I can remember is that it was near a shopping centre.
