Morning! We are all refreshed after like 2 hours' sleep and virtually no coffee, and ready for today's marathon 12-hour session.

Neil Kelly has got full chip counts, I believe in a copy-and-pastable format, so they will be up momentarily as soon as I can find him. I do for the moment know for absolutely certain that out chip leader this morning is none other than Jennifer Mason. Go Jen! In a completely unbiased and impartial sort of way. Well, what a great day of poker it was yesterday. 

It makes it more enjoyable to update tournaments when there are familiar names to follow and the sight of Jen Mason tearing up through the leaderboard rankings kept us on the edge of our seat all the way through.

Also it should be noted AndrewT had an excellent final few hours yesterday after hovering around his starting stack all day, he changed gears as the blinds rose and ended up a very well placed 5th. All the other blondites have enough of a stack to make a challenge.

Anna Colley, who was the chip leader in the early stages yesterday has had her stack decimated at the start here. Brendan Hartnet (blonde's own Ericstoner) was also involved in the pot...

Holding 8c 8s on a 6s 7s 2c, her chips flew in after an allin bet from Paul Fitzpatrick. Brendan, acting behind, thought long and hard before folding his 8-5. As Paul was allin, the cards were turned over and he was holding Ks 9s for a flush draw and 2 overs.

The turn was the Qd but the river Ts completed Paul's flush, doubling him up and reducing Anna to a mere handful of chips.

The expected craziness of play is already in evidence and awkwardly preventing me from nipping off to the bar for a coffee and some breakfast. :(  We've apparently lost 17 players already this morning, of which exits Junglecat caught only a few and I caught absolutely none except the ones that helpful blondeites have come over and informed me of themselves - unlucky, guys. There is a vague and probably unrealistic plan to try to get down to final table today, but it looks like it'll be more like three tables by the end of the night, some 12 hours hence. I'm going to have to get that coffee eventually...

His absence from today's chipcount suggests that he went at some point yesterday, I'm afraid.

Reportedly a hand jsut played out which involved K-K moving in preflop, only to get CALLED by 8-2 off suit for an absolutely stonking 70k pot.

There was only ever going to be one winner of course. 8-2 made the flush naturally...we haven't got  details of the heroic figure who made this imaginative play but we'll see if we can rustle up some more info shortly...

As Dana reported, players seem to be dropping like flies. Although the excellent structure means that the players have plenty of play in their stacks, clearly there has been a group decision by many of the shorter stacks to come along today and either build up a good stack or get knocked out so they can spend the rest of their saturday sleeping/ drinking or whatever pastime they deem most enjoyable.

This gent seems to tick every descriptive box - is it he? If so, looks like he hasn't seen much action yet today - he's still around 50k.

I joined Snoopy's table to see he had a few more chips...

"Well done dog face. How did you do that then?"

"Had A-K v Jacks. Spiked an ace on the river" replied the languid Snoopy, "he only had about 10k but it was a nice start"

Snoopy points out AndrewT has increased his stack somewhat too. "He's been mixing it up" says Snoopy and he and Andrew share what looks like a conspiritorial grin and I realising this is code for "The naughty little vagabond's been at-it!."

As we chat away, Dave Callaghan knocks out one of the short stacks. Holding As Js, Dave was dominating the shortstacks allin preflop with Ac 6c.

The interesting flop of Ad 2c 5c complicated matters somewhat though, but the blank 9h and 7s on the turn and river meant there was no outdraw and Dave increased his stack nicely...

Sorry could you confirm if the R Lawlor who started day 2 in 12th with 49k + is Richie "Fish with Chips " Lawlor  a Wexford lad. Ex Manager of The Shamrock..

Mick, or it may be Nick or even Mike Rossiter is currently the chip leader with over 140k.

The largest chunk of this came in a 3 way coup where his opponents held A-A and 9-9 to his Q-Q. The 120k, by far the largest of the tournament was won in fittingly dominant fashion as the Queens of Mick hit a Q-T-5-Q-3 flop for quads.

Aces, which have fared badly this tournament, cracked once again!

Since then Nick has also knocked out another short stack, his A-Q holding versus K-8 on a Q-J-6-5-2 board.

We currently have 111 players left. It's the 500-1000 level with a running 100 ante. The average stack is 37k and it's safe to say this level will bring about some action...

Blonde's own Laxie has just been involved in a big pot.

Holding Ks Kh she was no doubt delighted to get her chips in preflop and looking forward to the prospect of doubling up. Unfortunately, she had run into Matey O'Boy's Ad Ah. It was a big pot but with Laxie needing to spike a king, the unhelpful flop came 7h Qc 4c 7c Qs, eliminating Laxie to the rail. The way A-A has run versus K-K this tournament, this can almost be classed as a bad beat!

Tikay has just played out his biggest pot of the tournament. The chips went in preflop, unsuprisingly, since Tikay held Q-Q and his opponent A-K.

The flop of J-Q-5 provided a helpful  set for Tikay and the 3-3 turn and river, simultaneously filled and doubled him up. One handshake later and a happy Tikay was stacking chips up merrily...

Whilst I was returning to write up that hand, table one had 3 allins, the players tabling 5-5, K-K and Q-Q. When the dust had settled, the cowboys had held to give Ben Dooley a big pot and knock out two players at once.

M3Boy hasn't played many hands since his double up not long ago and is hanging around with about 10k or so...

A sick hand was witnessed on his table. 2 players got their chips in on a T-J-Q flop, understandably as their hands were J-Q for top two and A-K for the nut straight.

A jack popped out on the turn though filling Matey O'Boy 1 up and an unnecessary, but fairly amusing subsequent J on the river, gave him quads much to Matey O' Boy 2's dismay.

I join her table as she raises to 3k preflop and is called on the button by a guy who looks like the messiah, if he was a rock fan. Photos will help explain this more clearly so I'll grab a photo shortly...

Anyway, the flop comes down Ks Jh 2s and Jen leads for 6k. Jesus in a Nirvana t-shirt quickly passes and Jen sweeps in another pot. "I had 3-3...standard!" she whispers to me. "But I need sandwiches" she moans. "Get back to work and we'll see what we can do"...so she happily cracks on using her stack to bully her table.

Looking good for Jen at the moment...

99 players left, 8 minutes of the 500-1k -100 level left before the players will have a short break to refresh their minds, and glasses before battle resumes.

Tikay needs watching at least - he's been giving Richie Lawler a proper rubdown, asking him what happened to all his 5k red chips, now, of course, residing in tikay's stack. I think Mr Lawler was good-naturedly threatening to run tikay down with his car.

One of the unfortunate exitees was ericstoner - he was holding the Queens, and even though the other two had gone all in before him, with only 16k left he didn't feel he could fold, thinking they were probably both holding an Ace of some sort.

He was actually all in with Queens at the exact same time as tikay was all in with Queens - this is where tikay's Dark Pacts really come into their own...

Had a chat with AndrewT during the break - he's dropped a good few chips and is down to I think just under average. With the blinds at 600/1200/100, he still has a bit of room to maneuver though.

After drinding today with 10xBB and the €250 comp taking registrations I made up my mind to go for the double up.

I am on the button and UTG limps in for 1000 (I have 12000), UTG+1 (who I played all dat with yesterday) looks at his cards, then looks at my stack and then limps in behind. Alarm bells ring here and I am not going to squeeze this now unless I have a monster. Folded to me and I see A 9. Insta muck

The Jd 2h he was holding when I caught the hand is not as shameful as it sounds - AndrewT tells me that Mike was on the big blind and there were four or five limps before him so he checked it, and all the chips went in on the Qs Jh 2d flop - Snoopy was holding Kd Qd. The 5s turn and 7c river changed nothing, and Snoopy is down a bit and Mike has probably a playable stack now...  ;hide;

Neil just announced Alan Mclean and M Sheridan just butted heads in a big pot...chipwise obviously, no nuttage was involved.

Well no nuttage unless you count the fact they were both holding A-A preflop...

No worries, it will be a chop and the dealer seemed keen to chop the pot preflop but was soon set straight.

The flop came down with 2 diamonds, opening a small window for a bad beat opportunity. The turned diamond opened the window yet further and the final river diamond jammed it right open with a crowbar, allowing Sheridan's aces to jump delightedly through whilst the diamond-less Mclean was left with that empty, dejected feeling big bad beats cause.

Apparently he'd been doing that a lot, and Wormster didn't feel he had enough to fold, but this time the small blind had Jacks and knocked him out. He's really enjoyed it though, and is proud of an impressive comeback after slipping down to 6k early on yesterday. He feels like a champion!

We're back! Actually we were late back from dinner, owing to tikay driving us out to KFC for some deep-fried greasy goodness. With the blinds on 1k 2k , Jen raised to 6k on the button and Andrew called with 8s 9s from the blinds.

The flop came out Js 9d 2s.

Andrew led for 8k and Jen called.

The turn came a 3d.

Andrew checked and Jen bet 14k. Andrew sensed he could push her off here and check raised allin to 42k in a brave move.

Jen had a tough decision here but she made the call for the additional 28k, partially no doubt as she had very good chips, with Ad 9h.

It held to leave Jen massively chipped up, and the clear chip leader with 190k, and Andrew joining us on the rail supping a pint. He was philosophical about his exit "I feel I played well over the 2 days and was pretty happy with how I played the hand against Jen but she made a great call."

Well done Jen, and bad luck Andrew.

Yes, this is an alternative line. My thinking was that if I check the turn (showing weakness) Jen will bet for sure and that particular line so far does not indicate great strength from her (she opens on the button with a wide range, and will know that a flop bet from me representing a single paint card on the board doesn't necessarily mean a lot either, so her call doesn't have to be with a monster). As soon as the flop comes down, I was planning to get my whole stack in, knowing I'd get Jen to put something in along the way.

With my stack size as it was, turn open-shoving is an option, but I did not figure her for a Jack (she's raising my flop bet with the two spades on board) so I'm confident she's folding very many hands to my check-raise.

Ok, jsut to clarify how the bubble situation worked...30 players were officially paid, not the 31 I claimed earlier. Slight communication breakdown. Apparently some people don't speak fluent cat.

Anyway, with 30 paid, 31 was the bubble spot but once the last 2 eliminations occurred and we were down to 31 players, the players amongst themselves agreed upon lopping 900 euros off the top prize to give to 31, meaning the bubble was effectively no more and
;mc; was over in record time!

Hou Man just moved allin and was called by Jimmy Kiernan.

Jimmy held AK and Hou was making a move with 8-6

The flop came out x -x -x (x being completely irrelevant cards) but a SIX on the turn put Hou Man into the lead, greeted with Jimmy throwing his hands up into the air.

He was rescued by an ACE on the river though! meaning Hou Man was eliminated and Jimmy picks up what could prove to be a crucial pot.

Seeing a flop of Q-Q-2 with Paddy Tobin, both players checked the flop.

The turn was a 5 and Nolan now pushed allin and was called fairly quickly by Paddy.

Thomas showed 3-3 and was no doubt a bit dismayed at the speed of his opponent's call. Dismayed, until Paddy turned over A-J that is!
