Too late, too sober.

Tell Jennifer to drink a couple bottles of wine - apparently people can't walk all over her when she herself doesn't know what she's doing, and she probably plays better smashed.

Jen Mason has just slapped Paul Rosati with a wet kipper and metaphorically said, "Have some of that, sunshine." All-in on a K-T-9-6 board, Paul's 4-4 was no match for Jen's J-Q, the Ten River not small enough for Paul to survive. The mason cements a mini victory!

So she didn't metaphorically slap him with a wet kipper?

Afternoon updaters, hope you'll be posting more entertaining reads. I also hope you didn't convince jennifer to stay up drinking white russians last night... I'm checking from the comfort of my own home, so lets hope its a good day :-)

Yay cheers for the updates Dana, sterling as always. As exciting as sitting around pressing refresh is I'm going to the pub. Tell Jennifer not to do anything silly during the interim and I'll check back later!

Boooooooo to being outdrawn by dominated hands. I think this exact situation was an exit hand in another event Jen played relatively recently.....ah well. Unlucky, well played and all that. Buy her a drink from her brother, Dana!

Yay! go Jen. I have to leave soon to be catapulted into the vagaries of world domination but hope that an entertaining read awaits my return, however it pans out

Evening Dana... i suspect you're probably feeling none too peachy yourself but good work :-) I'm just loitering for a bit before going to play Risk with a bottle of scotch. Cat is alive and well. And its nice to see pictures of Jen not looking like a crackhead... All the best to her and Snoopy!

Yeah it's Ben. Was debating going to the pub for a bit as I doubt whether too much will happen for a few hours but its freezing, although I'm slightly thawing now. I'll be on and off i guess...

Mr Kitty says make it a good update or he won't eat the medicine, Dana. And say hi to Jen and Snoopy for me. Its cold here.

push all in on the turn.

Why bet 450 and leave 140 left in your stack?

Beyond that, there's nothing to discuss - you CANNOT fold for 140 on the end of this one.

I think that was a misclick, as it were, sliding the bar all the way up not *quite* to the all-in mark. Not that it really would have mattered becaue he's probably insta-calling here with AQ unless he somehow puts me on a 4 and a brave play on the flop.

So what about this - I am 100% sure he has the Q on the river (he flips his cards or something, say) and he takes me in for the next 140.

In this situation CAN you fold? As I would be all-in on the BB next hand, with a chance of quadrupling up if everyone calls and I get lucky, is this even a possible play instead of knowingly throwing the last pennies in?

As it was I called on the remote chance he was playing a 4 or KK horribly.

I also agree a shove on the flop may well have been the safer option.

This may look like a disguised bad beat story but I honestly think I have a decision on the river for the paltry amount of chips I have left. There is the serial folder who's trying to fold into the money so.... What do you do?

Wish I had broadband... still was wondering if theres any news on the table's chip counts; its somewhat nervewracking following your sisters progress from a slow connection and would like to know exactly how jen fares?
Thanks
Ben
