Is his range kk+ and ak when he 4bet shoves me with the speech

I had qq in this spot could he be doing it with less?

How did the action go?

In the absence of other info the bolded bit leans me towards a call

Any thoughts on the Jarvis/Cheong hand? Strange play without a fairly obv v betting hand by Cheong because of stack sizes

First off I think playing that many pots in such a short period of time with the player directly to your left is not a good strat.

Secondly I'm never really an exponent of betting big as a smaller amount usually gets the same result. However on this occasion I probably 4 bet to 59k. When he calls this leaves 120k in the pot with just over 320k behind. It's a pretty dream flop for us as he shouldn't be set mining at all but definitely not with anything that's hit. We can then try to set up a turn shove by leaving ourselves less than a psb behind. I probably make it around 75k so if he flats there 270k in the pot and we have 245k and can shove most cards on the flop. I'm also calling if he shoves here.

Now to your question, I think there are a shit load of Aces in his range (including A3 which already has us crushed ldo) so I don't like betting this card as we never get action from anything we beat. However by checking we allow him to rep it when he doesn't have it so I like a c/c including a shove tbh. There are loads of arguments for a c/f as you'll still have over 60bbs but I prob can't let this go against a player with we have the history you have described. Also we put ourselves into superb shape by winning this pot.

I really don't understand his pfr size. I mean considering he has the rockiest of rock images 7.5k does the same as 10k. It does look like AK not wanting to take a flop oop or build a pot so that he can commit himself with a cbet. But I still, in theory, like the fold pre as when we jam he passes everything we beat bar AK and when we flat we put ourselves in a rank spot

I'm sorry but if you really think that there is 90% chance he has you crushed then it's a fold.

With 15 bbs and an open in front of us we can never even consider calling. It's shove or fold, simples. By calling you're putting in over 20% of your stack and by your own admission you might not even get to see a flop.

If it folds around (27.2k in the pot, ~38k eff stack) and we see an uncoordinated 10 high flop and the villain jams (which is likely considering his >3x pfr) are we really folding? His jam looks weak but you've effectively gone set mining by flatting pre and deciding to give up if he continues.

I don't know if I can bring myself to fold  to one bet especially with 15bbs and M of 6.66 (assuming 9 handed obv) although in this instance it's prob right to do so. With 20bbs he's not opening utg light and in theory I fold simply because he has us crushed so much of the time and folds the rest (barring AK if he's as much of a rock as you portray) imo. But, like I said I don't think in the heat of battle I can fold  to one bet.

Player A's shove gets most hands he's racing with to fold.

Obv we don't like putting 2/3  of our stack in with AQ but when we're asking to put 5k into 18.4k against a player I have history with I'm never folding.

Personally I disagree that Player B is EVER folding pre-flop, he will be left to call 7.5k into about 7.5k after already raising ~30% of his stack

So as long as player B is 3bet calling wide enough then it's fine - as Mr. Atkin says id have no problem folding  here vs a lot of live guys.
Ehhhh..I have literally no idea what I was talking about with the bolded parts..and i wasn't even drinking

What I meant was that I don't like putting 2/3 of my stack in with  but as we are putting 7.5k into 18.4k I can't fold against any aggressive player's range.

Yeah maybe in a live tourney with no history I can fold the but against a player who we have antagonised I am probably never folding this shallow.

With 18 bbs and an open in front of you you should only have two options in your head: Shove or Fold. It's a pretty basic situation in tournament poker that shouldn't require too much thought.

With regards to the AK shove: I get it in here approx. 100% of the time.He didn't "overplay a big ace". 1 hand crushes his hand, 1 hand beats us 70% of the time and he is at worst flipping with the rest of the entire deck.

Once you've put the 80k in I'm never folding
