Thank You.

Its becoming quite apparent that the moderators on this forum are playing the role of policeman a little to extremely on some of the postings in this forum.

Whilst I appreciate that some threads have had to be terminated because of 'slanging matches' there are also some good threads about backing of players and the like which are being cut short by the moderaters interpretation of what should be allowed here and what shouldn't.

Surely its better to have in place a set of simple rules which state, to all members, what is, and is not allowed.

I, for one, would disallow the following...

- Disparaging remarks about people who post here (I have been subjected to this)
- Individual players looking for backing (no place on this forum)
- Swearing (goes without saying)

Good debates are being stifled by some members who choose to knock everything other posters say without thinking about suitable arguments in return.

The fact that I've had a book on poker published seems to upset some people...why?

There are many good people on here with many good posts that I'd like to contribute more to but am now wary of doing so because of :

a) Moderator intervention
b) Being slagged off for my opinion
c) Being hounded

I would like to ask that where contentious posts do occur that moderators PM the person who wrote it and then delete it sooner rather than later rather than lets it run until they feel as though its turned into a 'nice weather for the time of year' thread!

Closing threads 'in the sake of harmony & peace' is a terrible way to behave!

Just my opinion!

Mr Tightend,

Apology accepted. Now be off with you!

Mr Tightend,

Please don't reply to my posts in the manner you are doing.

Absolutely no inference of offence should be taken to ANYTHING I write here.

This is becoming a police state!

With more & more 'expensive' tournaments on the circuit I agree that players, used to the high life because of a win that happened 'months' ago find it very difficult to play in the £20 rebuy tournaments again as they feel as though it demeens then somehow.

Sponsorship from on-line card rooms helps these players out big time and I believe this to be to the detriment of the individuals ability to see life as it really is.

Poker, when all said and done, is a game filled with luck. You can be the best, so-called, player in the world but it don't mean poo when the raggy looking six of clubs comes on the end to bust your trip Aces.

In my opinion there are too many ego players that, just because they won 10 large 6 months ago, seem to think that tapping people up for a % of their entry fee into tournaments is a god given right.

If you can't afford to play in tournaments, nomatter WHAT price, then stay out of the way...if only for your own sanity!

I wasn't being derogatory. Not in the least!

As has already been pointed out in these posts that I, and others, merely question an individual who claims to have won £8500 and still needs backing in relatively small events.

If this person, whom I don't know from Adam by the way, had have come to this forum and asked for backers for an EPT event (like Simon Trumper did) then I can understand the reasoning for this...£8500 win or not.

Its like all the posts that go on RGP which read 'please put $1 in my PS account'...its sad to see!

Just my opinion.

Well its the Brighton festival next week. My live results are excellent.
The last Brighton festival I chopped 3 events and took away £8500

...and you still need a backer??? Shame on you!!

Watch out for all those 'Backer Required' posts!

I'm sure if everyone of the 1400+members of this forum chipped in $1500 or more then we'd be able to send Dave C.

The following link is from the Las Vegas Sun newspaper.

Yesterday this article appeared regarding the worlds first 'Invitation Only' poker tournament which will take place at the Palms in January.

100 entries - $250,000 entry fee - $15M for 1st place

Puts to EPT to shame eh??
