Relatively cagey heads up play so far - they are taking it in turns to steal the blinds from the button with around 150k or so. Also a degree of limping/checking/pot being awarded to whoever bets first on the flop.
Was there absolutely no talk of a deal or a saver of any kind? I have to say I'm rooting for the local lad done good here so C'mon Donal!! I don't think so, Neil did have some money on himself at 100-1 yesterday.. We haven't seen anything like a saver or something along those lines. On the turn of a , Donal raises Neil's bet from, I think 150k to 400k. Neil calls. The river is the , and Donal bets 400k, Neil calls and Donal shows J-8, Neil though is holding K-8. King plays and Neil takes down the first big pot of the heads-up battle. Oh that pot hurt! Donal is going to have to go into ninja mode!

few questions 1.Smart Casual dress is essential while on the premises. Jeans trainers and a hoodie gonna cut it? Should be okay for the Fitz as they are fairly relaxed. Not okay if you want to hit the Sporting Emporium at any stage over the weekend.

I'm in. I look forward to meeting some blondites in the Fitz.
As for the guy asking about cash games in the Fitz, the action is always plentiful until 8.00 or 9.00 am. On the weekends in Dublin you can hit one of the other clubs for poker action until 12.00 midday so if you are still full of life at 9.00am just ask a local where you can go for a game and they'll point you in the right direction. (I don't want to be advertising anywhere else in this thread as this is a Fitz event and they'll be able to handle all the action you guys can throw at it up until 9.00 am!)
No hotel recommendation here I'm afraid - locals are never the right people to ask about these sort of things. Online review sites are probably the best way to go.
Fair play to all you guys for travelling I would have thought the buyin was too low to justify the travel involved but in fairness there are plenty of tournies and cash action in Dublin on any given weekend so you'll definitely get plenty of chances to gamble! lol

Great reporting Jen! P.S. Joe I'm pretty sure there was no seat open in the big cash game hence the reason he was killing time - funny stuff nevertheless! Andy is absolutely dominating his table - with what I can only describe as a fearsome intensity, he raises almost every hand with a kind of routine - grab some 1k chips, cut them in, while throwing a couple more smaller denom ones in for good measure, stare at everyone as they generally pass, and restack the blinds and antes with alarming speed and dexterity. Then grab some black chips and rotate the top five, followed by the bottom one, top five, bottom one until the dealer is ready to start the whole swift process again. Just now a young chap in a green hoody (could it have been Andrew Robl?) re-raised his utg preflop raise of 2,400 about another 8k. Andy called instantly. They check-checked their way down to the river at lightning speed, and the board stood . Andy bet as soon as the river was out: 12k. He was called immediately, and showed a winning . It looks like his fast-paced, unrelenting aggression inspires quick reactions from his opponents too - not giving themselves time to think about decisions. He's about as focused as a person is possible to be without setting fire to the baize with the concentration of his stare.

Great work guys. Just caught up after getting knocked out of the €200 game in the Sporting Emporium where I had the brief pleasure of playing with Tikay and Chilli for a short time. I couldn't resist pulling a move on Tikay when he overplayed his top pair of queens on a QhTd8h flop. LOL. Sorry P.S. Good luck to big Stewey he's a guy who is normally found playing a 15 rebuy game on a Saturday and is Mr. Gamble but he's a character and enjoys his poker. All the best to Smurph too she's on a great run!
