Early on, readless. Pre can fold but on the button deep stacked and suited, with fish calling CO seems like a call pre.

Flop turn seem standard? On the river i can't beat any value hands he bet bet bets from UTG but i think he can fold all straights and better Jx. My hand looks super strong with this line in this tourney at this level imo.

Thoughts?

MP+1 raises to 5 BB
fold, Hero ??

4/8 at this point. UTG+1 has been raising an absolute tonne on the FT bubble, and we've had some fun exchanges leading up to this point. MP+1 seems to have picked up on this - has been fairly active, and I imagine is three betting quite wide.

Given the two sub 10bb stacks, I assume ICM wise MP+1 has to call pretty tight - something like QQ+ i'd guess? (maybe an MTT wizard can confirm/deny this). Shoving here looks attractive, but is it better just to fold given the fact that there were a couple of 'recs' at the FT...
3  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: 3b/c range check deep in hot 55 on: June 29, 2014, 06:12:45 PM
Given how many shorter stacks there are left in, is there an argument for just always 3b/j in this spot rather than having a 3b/c range? What we lose in chip EV we make up for in stack preservation and fold equity?

4/21 in hot 55 at this point.

I 3b/c sb versus button in what I thought was a pretty standard spot given the structure, but just wanted to check it with other peoples’ ranges, as my stack was relatively deep at this point.

No info on the villain.

Kalinich90 has c/r into me and other villain on a dry low board.  In zoom, I'd be more inclined to c/r bluff on such boards, but not sure if the population tendency is to do so.  It's quite hard for us to continue alot of our range on the turn, especially when alot of his bluffs will pick up backdoor equity, increasing the propensity for him to double barrel.

What range do we continue with here?

Don't really have many reads as early into my zoom session.

Pre is close - annoying when we get squeezed, but when button calls I feel more inclined to flick it in, could be a leak though...

HERO: ?

On the river my natural instinct was to c/jam. Could rep a range of missed draws, turning pair and straight draw hands into bluffs, but could also get worst 2 pair to call.

Perhaps though c/c is better? What is the villain's range for bet bet b/c on the river? I'd think it was weighted to hands that I can only bluff catch against with  ?

From villains perspective too, I would probably c/r a set on the flop or turn, and would be three betting JJ and KK pre.

I think peel pre or 3bet is fine, but felt like my hand has good post flop playability oop. KJo I'd be more inclined to three bet.

Villain seems standardish, have a very small 20 hand sample over which he was running 14/13. So no real inferences at this stage, perhaps on the tighter side but 20 hands is nothing.

Thoughts on all streets please; think flop is standard, turn could c/r but want him to continue with his double barrels with air, and want to protect my range for when I have weaker hands that c/c twice..
