I really like this, it's very simple, seems to have a large db and nice and quick.
As it's p2p though you may need to be wary of it's brandwidth use though, i stream more and more these days so had to upgrade my connection with bt because they limit usage.
If you regularly go above the limit it can get very very expensive, even with unlimited they have a fair use policy (all isp's have).
Not that spotify uses too much but in conjunction with other programs it adds up.

It does store the tracks locally albeit scattered, i assume to prevent the tracks being saved, i dare say some ckever sod will write a program to intercept the stream and enable you to save the tracks.

I currently use songza and orbit, check out the tracks on songza and grab them with orbit Smiley
Though for those who have morals spotify is cool!

No offense but tell my why you disagree.

reasoning?
6  Poker Forums / Learning Centre / Re: How to play 9's on: March 04, 2009, 12:40:23 AM
erm ok..............

Line 1 Up to the pre (the first line, no offense) it is a statement, after the comma it's justification (reasoning if you like).
Line 2 (can you keep up?) "i min raise" again a statement, after the comma comes the "reasoning", still ok?
The next line is a statement again but only my actual philosophy of poker, sorry.
The last line is just my opinion, sorry again.
Any further translation required?

I do not like the allin pre, if you are looked up you are almost certainly out.
I min raise, love the min raise here as you build a decent pot if you hit and you can easily get away if you don't.
You really need a plan with these sorts of hands, it's ok (i guess) hoping for folds but you really need to assume at least 1 oppo is going to call and decide what you are prepared to do.
Stop go is a good tactic here, i like the post flop action.

I hate your hand v 2 players in this position, you are behind to both ranges and i'd think dominated.
Personally i fold pre.
Fold, he is at best continuating with a better preflop hand.
We all raise pre with rubbish with the aim to either be the bully or just nick blinds, resistance tho means something, either they don't believe you or they think they are ahead.
So easy for you to not play this hand at all.

I'd never give someone a free card here, if he's drawing he's paying for it.

I really wouldn't care much about noise on a bus (though it's been more than 10 years since i've been on a peasant carrier), kids are kids, they moan and whine so what?
Now if kids hassle my kids or are just generally rude or abusive to me or my family i go round their house and ask for their dad, if they get lippy you can justifiably slap them about a bit.
Much the same as if a bird gets gobby in the pub, i just tell em to shut up or i'll slap their boyfriend/husband, works wonders.

Saw this on a few other forums (foras?) and it is pretty good fun, you upload 12 of your favorite tracks and post the link for anyone to listen to.
I'm having computer problems at the minute and can't access my tracks but i shall be upping mine soon but i like finding obscure tracks, i'm sure you lot will satisfy!
Enjoy, i look forward to listening.

I played til recently in a very major online cardroom and was pretty amazed at how lacklustre their graphics were and that they didn't have any kind of timebank feature. I play on a couple or rooms now that do have this and I like it. Sometimes you are in a big multiway pot and you have to make a delicate decision for a lot of money (to me anyway) and 20 seconds just doesn't cut it.
An option I used for a while was to have TV/film going on in the background. This stopped the phases were I was so bored I would start to force the action just to entertain myself. It also means I don't dread sitting down at a table because of the boredom factor. Don't get me wrong: I love poker. But it's just HOURS of the same screen that I can't stand. Becoming a site whore (ahem) did help a lot. Also switching to different formats and games helped a bit.
I definitely agree with the social aspect of the game and live play. I did play a big online tourney the other day and got very deep, which brought the game to 3 hours. 3 hours of interacting with about 40 different people, from all over the world, united by the common love of a game. The only banter I saw in all that time was 'Nice river noob' and 'F*** you'.
Lovely.

Isn't that pic the dead girl Brandi?
Poor taste.
