  I thought it was amazing.

they haven't taken any time to set up all the unbelieveable stuff. i can believe that you can turn a wheel on the lost island and it disappears or that unknown to the rest of the world you can set up zones in Baltimore where you are allowed to take and deal drugs openly without fear of arrest, because those shows have slowly been built up over a number of seasons.

I can't believe that the cleverest "most dangerous man on the planet" who has been locked up for 17 years is only allowed out if his son says so and the FBI/US Gov have to bring his son on board because he has to get locked back up unless his son says so wtf? lots of little stupid things like that. would love it to be a great show, love watching good stuff while playing poker.

are you watching True Blood? has potential but nothing much seems to happen, needs some more excitment apart from a cliffhanger at the end of every ep.

I understand what you're saying here and your right, but to me, i dont care about unexplained things such as these, i just want to be entertained. I don't care how Walter Bishop got out so easily, i know its a TV show and not real life.

I just think all the fringe science stuff on the show is excellent and really like the characters in the show so far.

True Blood - same here. Definite potential, but nothing seems to happen.

I've watched the first two episodes and I have to agree with the 'episode 2 is a bit crap' comments.

It's essentially a new X-Files, except there's no chemistry between the characters, Fringe's Scully is just so very dull, and I'm already tired of Walter Bishop's 'I posit this' and 'my hypothesis is such'. I'm also bothered by the fact that his character SHOULD REALLY HAVE BEEN PLAYED BY TOM BAKER.

He clearly has elements of Baker's Doctor, and the guy even looks like Tom Baker does now.

Even Pacey's being a bit crap - 'I need to build a time machine in 5 minutes but I only have a stapler and a Pot Noodle'.

Also the 'placename in big 3-D writing' is hackneyed already.

The first five minutes of the first episode were brilliant - it had better pick up.
