Richard, Thanks for your text,yes I would be delighted to join the league this coming year very kind of you to ask.I really don't think you should blame yourself for the shambles it became in 2010,and although it lost all credibility I think your the man to bring some sort of order to the proceedings. Understanding that it is not a matter of life or death is the key, so I guess sticking to the rules and not changing them to suit yourself at the drop of a hat will go along way in getting at least a small % of the runners to take it seriously. On your other point I would just not bother to read the text's, pms, or e mails,your expecting after very comp just treat it as spam.
Your other idea of drainys xmas present is Brilliant and if it helps to keep utter utter bollox of the forum I would be delighted to pay for it.Who would of thought of a walkie talkie set for the family drain? instead of Mrs drainy posting "your dinners ready" and Drainy snr posting " ok Im shutting down and coming through" and then Jnr posting " can you get the red sauce out of the cupboard dad, i'll be in in a sec when I crack this cut and pasting thing" they can now chatter about how well the baked potatoes tasted to there hearts content, the downside of course is that this thread will lose a good number of posts, but I suppose the old adage of quality not quantity applies here.
Yes I also thought Glens staking thread was a windup, but after seeing the state of his jacket on sunday Im not so sure? were you kidding about Phil Cooklin and Edna bye the way, I didn't notice any sparks I thought he was a natural charmer?
Anyway gotta go I managed to bink a ticket for Notts at the weekend and need to get a staking thread underway, any chance you can lift the min post's for me to do it?
best
Steve.

I kid you not Paul, I arrived somewhat early and stumbled across what could only be described as a scene from one flew over the cuckoos nest, I think it's called the £5 rebuy I had no idea it could get so busy, though I suspect that the railbirds or at least the ones managing to drink from a mug without a straw were the carers? i passed an aimless hour wondering which one had the larger IQ, I came to the conclusion as another bumbling idiot attempted to shuffle the cards, that tom myland was beaten into second place by a woman dressed completely in purple who managed to run over my foot with some sort of three wheeled sand yacht. by the way if you read this tom I would be very grateful if you park your skip in a more prominent place than you usually do on boxing day, I will have a shit load of boxes the remnants of a 40lb turkey and an old chair to dump.
The characters & events in this post are fictional & any similar events or any person with the same name living or dead is purely coincidental.

I was so close to pointage in the £100 last night. In fact I hadn't even got my coat on and left the table when 'saver for the bubble' discussions started. it was like rubdown Monday had come early Enjoyed the whole afternoon/evening though. Thanks for the cake vinnydonk. Unlucky Claw, you played well last night, The guy next to me Grabbed the prize Breakdown sheet which was next to me on the table when you went "All In" and as you went out he started to talk about the saver before you left the table, that's why i gave him a sarcastic answer !! When you left Snatty told him to have more table manners and wait till you had left the table, and i told him that he should have some 'etiquette'
Well played by all , and handsome Paul played really well to TID with the minimun of fuss as Chompy would say !!

Irritating - causing irritation or annoyance; "tapping an annoying rhythm on his glass with his fork"; "aircraft noise is particularly bothersome near the airport"; "found it galling to have to ask permission"; "an irritating delay"; "nettlesome paperwork"; "a pesky mosquito"; "swarms of pestering gnats";

Dean, I am on record as saying to several people that I thought your car being vandalised was a disgusting thing to do and I truly felt your anguish and anger, so with that in mind my earlier comment may have been a tad hypocritical and uncalled for.
I shall be more careful about my comments in future.

Dean,the people whom I spoke to on the table I briefly shared with you did hear my comments as you put it because they commented back, I dont remember who was on the table but the main person i was talking to was alan grey and he clearly heard me because he replied, its called conversation, having said that I dont think Alan and I have ever had a sensible conversation in all the time we have known each other, and I think that most people take what I say with a pinch of salt, i am there for a break from work and to relax, win lose or draw it makes little difference to my life.

Unless I was having a terrible nightmare, I was present for the final moments of the £100 last night, and I have to say that one of the accounts of what happened (at that awkward moment when 5 of us found ourselves with roughly the same amount of chips) is to put it politely,a work of fiction only rivaled perhaps by the Hobbit or lord of the rings?
As a side line one can clearly now see why Dean needs a paint shop twice in a few days.

Well, if your serious about dinner lets start off with Red, although I'm pretty sure that by the time the starter has been cleared away and were heading toward that awkward moment when your asking me if I like your new shoes, I shall be calling in a loud clear voice for a gallon off high octane clean burn and a box of swan vesta's

Drain forgive me I have had a tough week, I don't mean to be rude to you, in fact i think you take my post's about your post's in good spirit, Im just unlucky I guess in when logging in looking for a post about luton (on the luton league thread) I find pictures of half dressed men on the phone and pictures of the figure 500, so which one of us is missing the point?
