Sorry, I posted the Facebook post first, then wrote this one, went and checked the Facebook post to find a buyer, came back to delete this thread asap and saw Picken's reply.

Definitely not trying to mug anyone off. Sad

Hey guys,

I am looking to shift 10% of the EPT tomorrow. I have been playing £5/10 and £10/25 live hold em cash games in London for the last 6 months succesfully and am very confident with my live game. It is definitely not the softest of tournies but with sat entries and a lot of breakeven regs giving it a spin I feel pretty confident that I can give it a good go.

Here is my Hendon Mob: http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=134491

10% = £475 which is 1.13 (to 2 dp).

Payment via bank or cash in person.

Playing tomorrow at midday Cheesy

My stack was included on the list of day1 A qualifiers. I also thought only 9 went through. Clue me up?

you played online? 1a online stacks are on here but not names, which aren't published for online players

and can confirm you are on that list

Interesting, we'll see what my stack size is when I arrive then haha.

I snap responded to this post drunk, and I'm looking over it again drunker and although it does appear to be indicative sizing of the nuts, surely from a theory perspective we can't check back this hand and fold this river considering our perceived range and his actual range?

Lol mate.... You seem to have picked up the very same bad habits that you warned me about tourney players 18 months ago.

I think that I agree with the nay-sayers. Flat and jam river is really cool, and I think works a much higher % of the time than turn 3bet.

So, inspired by this I got chatting with the guys at www.stakesandladders.com, and we decided that there is some fun to be had by putting on some pools bets!

There are two pools available; a heads up match bet pool where you get asked who you think will last longer out of two players (usually friends or rivals who you should be familiar with) an the most correct answers wins the pool.

The second is a fantasy pool where by you pick one player from each comedy group until that forms your team.

I know this isn't exactly what I suggested before, but I will probably run a small (£100 probably) private leaderboard bet anyway for the guys who don't want to stump up the money to get in the ballers' (Dubai etc.) bet, I just thought this would be a bit of fun, and I really want to support my friend Honeybadger who has worked hard on this project for a while now.

I am going to make a new thread all about it which can be found here: http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=63259.0
13  Poker Forums / The Rail / Sky UK Poker Championships Fantasy pools games on: February 14, 2014, 10:20:14 AM
With the Sky UK Poker Championship running next week I have set up a couple of fantasy pool games based around the Main Event. They are being hosted by www.stakesandladders.com. If you don’t know about this new pools betting site that Honeybadger (Stu Barnett) is involved with then please look at this thread: http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=63159.0 or just go to the site and have a look yourself.

I have put up two games:

   •   A Fantasy Team game. You pick your team by selecting one player from each of 7 groups. Your selections score points based on how well they do in the Main Event.

   •   A Match-up game. There are 15 pairings (e.g. JP Kelly vs Sam Tricket, Chris Brammer vs Toby Lewis). You select who you think will last longest in the Main Event for each match-up.

There are 3 buy-in levels for each of the games: £25, £10, and £1. The sum of the total prize money for each pool (minus a small admin charge to Stakes&Ladders) will be paid out in prizes.

Please get on the site and have a look at the games, this is a really cool idea and should be a lot of fun. If we get a bunch of guys signing up and rofling around we could get some decent sized pools running and I just think that the unique structure of these bets adds a bit more frivolity to your standard bet. Plus, as I said in the other thread I really want to show some support to Honeybadger on his new project Smiley

Any questions, please post ITT. Myself or Honeybadger will answer them.

I'm sorting out the pools today on S&L so watch this space.

im prob in, why dont we just do stars though? dont we pay rake on sandl? if a lot of people in sure but if we all know eachother seems best to do it on stars.  are we voiding the HU unless it gets a certain amount of runners? would ideally not want to play it if it ends up with 5 runners and we just end up all playing to try and win this haha

In my view the tiny amount of rake you pay to S&L is worth it to support Stu and his venture given the huge number of hours Stu spends helping people on here in PHA etc for nothing in return.

Yup, this.
